So, I am still a very green beginner, but i used this pattern with some Ombre yarn I had and OH MY I AM SO HAPPY HOW IT TURNED OUT!!! I did change the stitch from a half double to a full double and chained 3 to make gaps in it to suit my need. THIS PATTERN IS GREAT FOR BEGINNERS

Pattern is well written and easy to understand. I actually had to end an entire row early as I was going to run out of yarn. I am a tight tension crocheted. I did end up running out of yarn, but thankfully had a second skein for another project.
Loved the way it turned out and would make again.
