An unbelievably beautiful wool blend with an amazing depth of color and an extraordinary glow!

We have Winter Glow produced at an Italian spinnery that makes color combinations that are out of this world.

The yarn has a loosely spun structure with a slight variation in thickness and is easy to work with. As your project takes shape, you’ll see layer upon layer emerging in a surprising and fascinating play of beautiful color.

The South American wool used is both warm and soft. Therefore, Winter Glow is suitable for projects such as ponchos, jumpers and cardigans, beanies, mittens, and scarves…all with breathtaking colors to spice up any outfit. Otherwise, use it to create a unique blanket; a single skein goes a long way with its 700 meters.

Please be aware that the yarn's thickness varies quite a bit, providing the yarn with its very own expression.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2476-419). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Fantastic yarn full of surprises! I bought 3 colors and made swatches immediately. 2 were just as beautiful as I expected. But the 3rd one, the rose/gray/camel looked disappointing. With easy patterns it looked too boring and complicated patterns killed the yarn and were lost in color changes. Tried to combine it with other yarns - still boring. But then I stumbled upon the Noro Color Punch pattern. It was not too plain not too busy and showcased the yarn. So I started knitting a scarf - and then a miracle happened! With a bigger fabric width the color changes started to make sense. And it turned out that it was only the very beginning of the ball that had boring colors. As I knitted on, the color changes were miraculous, each next one better than the one before. Rich yet subtle and elegant. Just fantastic. Can't wait to start knitting with the other two, and will definitely buy more.

Thank you!
Natalia

My goodness, what beautiful yarn! I usually don't buy wool or wool blend as I have always believed I had a wool allergy. Recently I crocheted a cardigan for one of my grandsons using wool and found that it didn't affect me at all so thought I'd give this wool blend a go while it was on sale. I purchased the 03 - Amber, Olive, Steel blue, Cinnamon colour-way and it is such a rich blend. Cant wait to use it to make a cropped cardi.
Thank you Hobbii also for the free delivery for orders over $75USD. I live in Tasmania, Australia and the cost of international postage adds a huge amount to purchases from places like Lion Brand in the US (who don't offer any free postage for people in Australia, but increase to cost of postage the more you spend!!) You lead the way Hobbii and I will always highly recommend your products and service. Keep up the great work!!

I am very happy with this yarn. I bought 4 colours 2 for vests, 1 for cardigan and 1 for a jumper. I normally go pure wool but this blend feels like wool but will be easy care, it grabs onto itself nicely too. The colours are very accurate to those shown on web site. I’ve started to swatch the yarn thinking it worsted weight using 4.5 mm needles and that works well but I think the recommended 5mm leaves a slightly too open weave for me - ok for shawls etc but a bit too open for me for garments like jumpers. I’m actually going to knit up as dk weight using 4 mm needles 22 stitches for 10cm/4inches - I like the finish it gives for a jumper, so it’s amazing really, you can use as dk or worsted and both look good. Very Versatel!

This yarn has really gorgeous colors that are so rich. The garment I made has a lot of depth and character to it because of the varying yarn width and colors. The transitions are pretty quick (sometimes I’d only get through 2DCs before landing on a new color), which is a unique feature that I don’t often come across in other yarns.

The wool content makes it warm, but the acrylic keeps it from being too irritating. Really, it’s very lovely, and the skein goes a long way! I was able to make a pretty tall mobius wrap, a matching mobius ear warmer, and a hat, with some scraps leftover. You definitely get a good bang for your buck with this yarn.

I absolutely love this yarn. We can’t get anything like it in Canada, it’s beautiful to work with. It’s variegated randomly, the thread is strong but also soft and very warm for our winters. I’ve made blankets, mitts, hats so far! It’s not thick like tradition worsted wool, which is why I love it. It drapes beautifully and creates either a nice neat tight stitch or loose lacey stitches / both work well with this yarn. I always get compliments when I wear it, and lots of requests for mitts “in that wool you were wearing the other day!” The colours are clear, rich and perfectly set through the yarn. Colours are very true to the photos.
