Hobbii's History

2015 – Where it all began
Hobbii was founded in 2015 with one simple goal: to make knitting and crochet easier and more inspiring. From the very beginning, our in-house designers shared free patterns with the community, helping makers everywhere get started and feel confident in their creativity.

Growing together
As our community grew, so did our pattern-ambitions. We began collaborating with talented designers from around the world, and today we work with over 350+ designers. This has become an ever-growing pattern library of more than 16,500+ patterns, ranging from beginner-friendly projects to advanced creations. No matter where you are on your creative journey, there’s always something new to discover.

2021 – Bringing the community closer
In 2021, we launched Hobbii Bingo to bring our community even closer together. Crafting is often a solitary activity, but Bingo turns it into something we share. Every week, we meet up to talk yarn, share amazing prizes, and enjoy a laugh or two, creating a shared moment around the craft we love.

Creating together, every day
To make every project easier to start, more fun to create, and more rewarding to finish, we host regular knit-, crochet-, and make-alongs on our social channels and in our groups. We also share daily inspiration, encouragement, and plenty of laughter.

2022 – Making yarn more accessible
From the very beginning our goal was to make yarn accessible to everyone. Offering fair prices without compromising on quality. We are continuously working to grow our yarn and accessories range, giving as many people as possible access to the joy of creating.

Today
Today, we ship over 1.5 million parcels a year from our warehouse. But Hobbii wouldn’t be here without the community we’ve built, and our shared dream to bring a smile to every yarn lover around the world.

Social Marketing Team

Sylwia, Elles, and Luisa are part of our Social Marketing team, helping keep the Hobbii community creative, connected, and inspired every day! They create all our fun content for our social channels, from tutorials and ideas on Instagram, to feel-good inspiration and the latest yarn memes on Facebook, bringing yarn lovers together, from all over the world. Aside from all of this, they plan and host our LIVE streaming experiences, like Bingo, Trivia Thursday and Happy Hour LIVE Shopping. Join us in real time to see products up close, ask questions, and enjoy the feeling of crafting alongside others (yes, even from your sofa).

Product Team

Sif, Sabina, and Kat are part of our Product team, curating our incredible yarn and accessories library as well as getting all the information out onto the webshop so our customers know what they are buying. They have a sharp eye for quality, feel, color, durability, and those small details that truly matter once a project is finished, due to their expertise in the industry. They are part of the team that shapes everything that you'll end up crafting with, from the beautiful yarn to needle and crochet hook sets, project bags, and smart accessories that keep things smooth, organized, and a joy to work with.

Logistics Team

Zana and Giulia are part of our Logistics team, working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly from the moment you click "order" to the moment your squishy mail is on its way. They plan, coordinate, and optimize the flow of products so your yarn is in the right place at the right time, helping us deliver quickly and reliably. When we’re shipping thousands of parcels and every minute counts and they're incredible at finding solutions to squeeze out those extra seconds!

Brand & Design Team

Andrea, Ananya, and Karianne are part of our Brand & Design team, working closely with incredibly talented designers from around the world to bring fresh patterns and creative ideas to life. They make sure you always have new inspiration at your fingertips, from modern and on-trend designs to projects that will become classics. Their goal: patterns that are as fun to start as they are satisfying to finish.
