This was the perfect introduction to lace knitting. The directions were easy to follow. I checked off each section as I knitted. I used Black Friday sock yarn (a super fine sock yarn) with Alpaca Blaze. It’s critical to wash and block the finished project for it to look right. My family was really impressed with the results.

This was fun to do. Lots of counting, and some tinking when I got it wrong, but easy to follow and it turned out lovely. I switched the Alpaca Blaze Seafoam for Friends Kid Silk - the Blaze was a bit too scratchy for my liking, Silk is much softer. The Soft Alpaca Lace is lovely.

Great pattern for a first time lace project. The bandana is knit from the bottom up, so you start with a few stitches (bottom tip of triangle) and end with a lot of stitches (top side of triangle). The pattern is completely written out and there are no charts to read.

A lovely and surprisingly quick knit! A great go to project for a gift. I ended up using alpaca lace in Juniper and Diablo Wild Print in Camouflage and it came out so pretty!
