Allow us to take you on a fun circus adventure together with our Silly Socks yarn. This lovely colored sock yarn will remind you of a lively circus show, lift your spirits, and bring a smile to your face.
Our Silly Socks yarn is made out of 75% wool which will keep your feet warm and cozy, while the 25% polyamide (nylon) will make your socks resistant and sturdy.
Silly Socks is super-wash treated and this means that it can be machine washed at 30°C (86°F or cold wash). This will definitely make your life easier when taking care of your beautiful socks. Even though this is a classical sock yarn, please don’t limit yourself to only knitting socks with it. Cardigans for children, mittens, beanies, etc. can all be created with this yarn.
Feel free to play with your creativity and work with two threads simultaneously (e.g. lay the thread from the outside together with the thread from the inside). The colors will then get mixed even more creating an even more unexpected and fun effect that will look great in small projects as well as bigger ones.
If you want to stick to creating socks one 100 g skein will be enough for a standard pair of socks until size 40 (UK: 6.5, US: 8.5). For socks bigger than that, please make sure to get two skeins.
Are you ready to start some handicraft acrobatics with Silly Socks? We know we are.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I purchased this yarn because the colorway matched perfectly for what I was looking for to make matching socks for the entire in-laws side of the family. Now that I'm 8 pairs finished, I am happy to write a proper review and let everyone know I'm in love with the way this yarn works up and feels while knitting. The color transitions are also very consistent, so while I wasn't paying attention to making sure each sock matched to the other, it was nice to see that this was happening pretty easily anyway! I'm very excited to gift these to my family and I'll be gladly buying more at any given opportunity to work up in this yarn and the similar ones hobbii offers. Genuinely had a great experience with this yarn, even if my eyes got a little sick of the colors blue and brown after about 100 hours of knitting it lol

I'm not a huge fan of the texture of wool so I don't buy it super often, but I decided to take the plunge based on the reviews. It was a great decision! The yarn is softer than most wools I've come across, the colours are vibrant and fun, and it is lovely to work with. I do have a bit of trouble with a little bit of splitting, but not so much that it's a nuisance and it doesn't fall apart - once I pull my hook back out, it re-twists nicely. Sturdy - I'm not worried about it breaking or fraying. The striping is really interesting in #09, rather than a solid transition from one to the other, there are small sections where it switches between the two colours, giving a really nice mottled striping on the end result. I haven't finished my socks yet, but I'm looking forward to being able to wear them soon.

I bought a few balls of silly socks yarn & made my Son a pair (who only wears brand name clothes) & to my complete shock, he wore them in front of his mates. Later in the night he was bragging to them on how nice they are on the feet. I was blown away! My 25 year old Grandson then asked if I could make him some. He was just as pleased & loves them. Then the Granddaughter wanted some, etc, etc. My sons were only the 2nd pair I had ever knitted. The 1st pair was hubby's. They are wearing really well so far, considering they wear them around the house & in the yard without shoes on. 🤭

I originally got the samples from the points store and just loved them so moved on to the full skeins. I can make 2 pairs of ankle socks or 1 pair of long socks from 1 skein.
The wool is soft and lovely to work with - not scratchy at all. The colours are beautiful (Happy Clown is my favourite!) but I so WISH they had a larger selection. The socks I've made have washed up nicely in the machine (cold) are are very sturdy and comfortable.

I ordered a bunch of this a while back for a steal (Happy Clown and Swinging Trapeze). I've crochet a sweater and a part of socks so far from it. I'm happy with how durable it is as it's been about a year since I've made the socks and they have yet to need darning. This yarn isn't the softest of the soft for sweater making, but I can see myself making many more pairs of socks (and maybe some hats or mittens) with it.
