This is a more advanced pattern for sure. And I did have to change some stuff but that's because I accidentally did some rows wrong and did not want to undo alllll the work i had done. I did an incorrect number of rows and stitches for the first half of the pattern before the "waves" part. I actually think the pattern is well written. The pattern says 1 skein of Sultan Deluxe. I also hadnt paid attention to that. Ended up using about 1.5 skiens of the regular sultan. Overall I am happy with my project.

I found the start of this pattern a bit difficult to understand (just a personal issue), but once I got in the swing of things it was pretty easy! I enjoyed making it a lot. My one other issue is that the amount of yarn recommended doesn't quite seem to match what is needed. I ended up making the shawl a few rows shorter than what the pattern designated. Overall a pretty good pattern.

I would say I’m an intermediate+ crocheter, this pattern was extremely hard to read. I ended up rewriting it to make it easier to follow. Which having to spend so much time rewriting a pattern that I paid for was frustrating. Also it quotes needing only (1) skein of yarn I am currently only on row 9 of the wave stitch portion and am almost out of yarn, I did purchase the exact brand of yarn recommended. And I typically have a tighter tension when I crochet so the tension isn’t the problem either.
I am a bit disappointed in this pattern unfortunately, I really wanted to like it. But I had to put in a lot of effort and problem solving to make it work.

I just downloaded this and I'm so sad to say that starting is _impossible._ The handful of pictures don't help the incredibly poor and undescriptive instructions. I keep trying to make this ridiculous loop, add stitches that don't add up, and figure out how a loop makes a flat shawl??? I have no idea where on the shawl I'm even starting, and where pictures usually could help, there are only some pictures that aren't correlated to any given step/row. For a beginner pattern, it is very unfriendly to even intermediate crocheters.
