This is NOT a beginners' pattern. I have a few projects under my belt and find this pattern confusing. First, my Winter Glow is weight 4 not 3. Second, I can't get the specified gauge with a 3.5mm hook. I went up to 4.5mm hook and still need 10 dc rows to make 10cm. Third, it doesn't say if you are to work it in the flat or in the round (I assume in the round) but a beginner would not necessarily know that. Fourth, the charts are confusing because in the body of the instructions it doesn't tell you which chart to refer to. Fifth, it is not clear how to attach the ruffles.
