After gifting the Dream Colour Shawl as a Christmas present the recipient was thrilled. The recipient loves wearing the shawl but it has gotten dragged around a bit, so I am concerned that the delicate edges could catch on something, snag and unravel the whole thing which would be disastrous after all that work. The only thing I would now do differently would be to purchase extra yarn to do a row or two of single crochet around the edge to stabilize it and make the edge sturdier and a bit harder wearing.

Dream Colour is a buttery soft yarn to use for this pattern. The finished shawl is pretty stretchy. This was my first foray into a granny square pattern. The shawl is generously large using seven to eight skeins of Dream Colour. You could easily get away using 6 skeins. Because it’s a fingering weight yarn it took me months to make working on it on and off for an hour a day. This pattern would go much faster using a heavier weight yarn.

I purchased 4 skeins of the Hobbii Dream Colour in Color: 04 to see what it was like. (This was my first order). I wasn't sure what to make so I came back to the website and found the Dream Colour Shawl pattern (which I am currently making). I love it. I'm definitely going to buy more of this yarn and make more shawls.
