Fluffy Day XL is a thicker version of our popular Fluffy Day. A yarn with great volume that’s still super light and thick. Perfect for knitting with larger needles, where the finished result needs to have a cool, brushed look. The brushed fibers also ensure an incredible depth of color that’ll withstand continuous washing.

Fluffy Day XL is great for sweaters and really shines if you use it for chunky cardigans. The yarn keeps its airy softness after it’s been knit up and washed, so you’ll get a finished product that’ll keep you warm while still being light as a feather. It doesn’t contain animal fibers and can, thus, be a great choice for anyone with allergies or people who, for other reasons, would like to avoid animal fibers.

Fluffy Day XL is spun from premium acrylic. Acrylic yarns can vary greatly in quality, and the Fluffy Day line is made from an incredible quality, which makes it extra soft, comfortable, and easy to work with. It’s also an affordable alternative to the pricier mohair, and you can get away with knitting with just one strand.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (nr. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Hobbii knows their acrylic. It's not as soft as a non-fuzzy acrylic, but still much softer than pound of love or super saver. Stitch definition is great and it is easy to see my stitches as I crochet, unlike natural fiber yarns with this much halo. Fuzziness is still pretty close to the actual yarn so it won't tickle your nose or ears if you make a cowl or headband. Withstands frogging very well without looking matted or tangled, but you must frog SLOWLY and carefully. Don't try to frog a chain, you will lose haha. Gives bulky crochet items a but more elegance as the halo diffuses any imperfections or inconsistent tension. I'm making a sham to cover a throw pillow and am surprised how lightweight it is - bulky yarns usually end up heavy as I'm working the last rows but this yarn is bouncy and lofty. If you want to try yarn with a halo, this is a great option even as a beginner compared to similar mohair or alpaca yarns.

Seems to me that this is the same yarn-base as the Amigo yarns. Both look very similar aside from the brushing on Fluffy Day. This isn't a bad thing, but a point of reference.

I find this yarn fairly soft and it seems okay against the skin. It's not the softest, but I expected that. I look as this yarn as a sort of vegan alternative to alpaca. I suspect that this should have similar heat trapping abilities as alpaca because of the brushed hairs.

Don't look to this yarn for stitch definition. It's bulky for one, it's acrylic, and I imagine washing only makes the hair fibers more evident. Again, not a bad thing per se, I see this as a vegan or more affordable option for quick to make winter accessories.

I’ve enjoyed working with this yarn. It was easy to knit with and worked up quickly with 7mm needles and has made a nice soft, lofty fabric. I’ve made a robe style, oversized cardigan for myself. The yarn is very light weight, but still bulky, which is a bonus if you want to make a nice thick, chunky knit, but don’t want a garment that weighs a lot. I used the colour Prussian Blue and it’s beautiful. Also there is a LOT in one ball, so I used less than 6 balls total to make a very oversized, long cardigan.

This yarn is super soft and I loved it. The crocheting experience took a little while for me to get used to since the fluff got caught in the hook often. The yarn also might get caught in the fluff when frogging. I crocheted a whole sweater and I love it, but it does pill up a bit, so do expect this.

Rita

This yarn knit up beautifully into a cosy turtleneck (Bobbie Sweater on this site). It was actually easier to frog than I thought it would be, when I made errors. I used the Russian join which worked pretty well to make the joining of additional balls invisible. I would use this yarn again.
