Universe Sock Wool is a sought-after addition to our popular Hobbii Universe series. Now it will also be possible to knit socks with the beautiful colorways that you know from Hobbii Universe.
Universe Sock Wool is made of superwash-treated wool of really good quality with long fibers. It is combined with polyamide, which provides an optimal balance between comfort and durability, some of the most important properties of sock yarn. A thin polyester thread gives the yarn its characteristic glitter effect.
The result is unparalleled when you knit socks in Universe Sock Wool. Universe is characterized by its long color gradients, which provide a fun knitting experience and last but not least a fantastic and unique result.
The colors of the yarn are nicely complimented by the accompanying glitter thread, which is selected to match the colors of the yarn. It creates a stylish glitter effect without too much contrast, so the yarn still retains its elegant look. The glitter thread is quite thin, and although the effect is clear, the thread is not felt when you are dancing in your socks.

The first roll I bought (#14) is so yummy that I came back a second time to order another color (#05) and I was not disappointed. I knit more mittens and gloves from sock wool than I do socks and this yarn is going to work up beautifully. I even keep a pair of fingerless gloves by my recliner for these long winters when my hands get cold reading or learning something new on YouTube. Yes, it is March 26th and we had more snow! Delivery is FAST with Hobbii and I love the little heart candy. 😋

An ad for Universe was what first caught my eye to introduce me to Hobbii, and it does not disappoint! It has became my favorite yarn for crocheting crocodile stitch pouches. The colors are gorgeous, the metallic strand works up with the prettiest effect, and the quality of the yarn overall is high. My new goal is to create a pouch in each color. 😁
