Winter Glow Solid is the irreplaceable addition to our popular, colorful yarn; Hobbii Winter Glow. An incredibly beautiful wool mix with an amazing depth of color and a very special glow.
The yarn is made from one strand of a relatively loosely spun structure that varies slightly in thickness. The fabulous mix of wool and soft acrylic is easy to work with and a little goes a long way. It’s made from South American wool that’s both warm and soft, and the mixture is durable. That makes Winter Glow perfect for things like ponchos, sweaters, cardigans, hats, gloves, and scarves...
Winter Glow Solid is produced in the same, Italian factory that makes the most incredible colors for us in Winter Glow. The colors in the solid color version are based on shades that can be mixed and matched with the colorful version. The thickness of the two versions is the same and can be combined to achieve incredibly creative projects. You could, e.g., combine multi and solid-color versions of Winter Glow … Or try to imagine how beautiful a Fair Isle design would look in the multi-colored Winter Glow with a Solid color base.
We’ve had the Solid version made in a smaller 100-gram version. With an incredible 350 meters per skein, you’ll achieve a lot with just a few skeins. And let’s reiterate: The Solid version looks amazing by itself without any fancy stripes from its family members. The beautiful shades are incredible on their own and can be used for lots of projects.
Please note that the thickness of the yarn varies between thick and thin, which gives the yarn a very unique look.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2476-419). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I bought a few balls of this when they were on sale and have been hoarding them until this past month when I finally found the perfect sweater pattern. I have loved working with it! I paired it with a strand of manaya which has a similar fiber content. I would definitely recommend blocking your gauge swatch though, because mine bloomed an entire stitch and row after washing.
I love this yarn! It is light and drapes well, even when crocheted.

A very nice, rustic-feeling yarn, with all the texture of a 100% handspun woolen yarn. I find it a bit thin for a worsted-weight yarn, though. Works up very economically and frogs very well, but for close-to-skin or for baby, I think I will stick to Happy Sheep yarns. This is an excellent yarn for outer garments, though, and I will likely make a sweater-jacket with two strands together of Winter Glow Solid in the future.

I like this yarn. I made a cardigan with 03 (titanium) colour. It’s definitely DK weight not worsted, kinda perfect gauge on 4 mm needles. It created very light, soft and drapy fabric, not to warm. It feels very acrylicy to me, but it’s probably just me. I will buy it again when on sale for budget friendly project, probably will make another cardigan in different colour.

Used regular winter glow for hex cardigan with winter glow solid as edging. Irregular in diameter. Some part thicker, some part thinner. It gave certain characteristics. Just choose pattern carefully. Besides that, the color is vibrant, easy to match with the non solid winter glow, not itchy, easy care due to mixed fiber. Can’t wait to use it again for the next project.

I have 02 and 07 colours and I am knitting a sweater for my husband. It is a wonderful yarn, great to work with and superb colour. I will be buying more, and I am waiting for the multi coloured version to come on sale for a cardigan for my mother.. Note; after careful swatching I am using a DK pattern and 4mm knitting needles.
