I haven't finished my balaclava yet, but what a wonderful pattern! Now I'm learning so many new skills: how to read a chart pattern, how to float my colors, how to change colors, how to handle the right side and wrong side with multiple color changes... wow! I've even learned a few new ways to tie knots between colors. I have a new challenge to improve my crochet. This pattern is perfect for scrap yarn and stash busting. Once I get the hang of it, I will attempt to make a matching pair of mittens. I appreciate all the work that went into making this pattern. Thank you very much.

Really poorly written. The pattern makes no sense, you have to guess to figure out what to do! it does not say how many stitches you should have, or how to actually make the bottom of the balaclava. It is a terrible and unfinished pattern! DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND DON'T USE THIS PATTERN!
