We have fallen head over heels for Twister, a really soft cake yarn with beautiful color transitions, that develop into festive, subtle, or crazy wild color combinations.
If you crave a treat, you should know that “cake” is just a term for the way the yarn is packaged. Our own Twister excels by being twined which makes the yarn easy to work with.
The amazing colors unfold as you go and it is a true pleasure to watch the slow transitions of the colors. Here you get a whopping 1094 yards (1 km) of yarn and one skein is enough if you wish to knit or crochet a shawl or a scarf. The fabulous cotton is combined with acrylic which adds a lighter and more solid result.
Twister is perfect for shawls and scarves, but it has a lot of potential uses. It is easy to care for since it is machine washable. Please note, that the yarn is tied together with a small knot where the threads change colors.
Generally, you use more yarn for crocheting than you do for knitting. So you might experience that you cannot use the entire skein when knitting e.g. a shawl. Of course, it depends on the project and the pattern, you choose. Normally, it is not a problem to have too much yarn, but please consider, if you prefer to start with the thread from the center or from the outside part of your Twister cake-yarn skein when starting on your project.
You can combine it with a one-colored Twister e.g. an edge on a shawl, for sleeves, or a rib edge on a blouse or a poncho. Check out Twister Solid right here.Color 26: 110, 120
Color 34: 114, 123, 128, 152
PLEASE NOTE that Twister and Twister Solid will never match up 100% since they are dyed in separate dye lots.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I came across Hobbii online thru instagram suggestion. I had been looking for yarn for a project for a long time. This project in particular needed at least 800 yards to complete and I dislike having to join more yarn in the middle of my project. However in the US i would expect finding a yarn cake over 800 yards to be easy but no its not the few you do find always are way too over priced as well. After finding Hobbii and coming across this yarn i fell in love not only was the length and quality great but i had been searching for a purple to back faded yarn for years. Its not a common color change in my area at least. After receiving this yarn cake i was hooked the quality was outstanding the colors were vibrant and exactly like pictured. The yarn was soft and easy to work with. I am still making my project but i look forward to sharing a picture of it completed. I am now a happy member on Hobbii and will always look here first for my projects.

As a newbie to crochet the only yarn I had worked with was acrylic medium. I had wanted to learn for years but every time I tried I just kept getting my fingers tied in knots with yarn - LOL! I made a few baby blankets with simple stitches but wasn't really happy with the result. I saw some ads for Hobbi online and after looking at their yarn for quite some time I decided to take the plunge. I was worried that being in Canada the shipping and exchange rates would be killers but I was pleasantly surprised. The package arrived as scheduled and I started working with it right away. It did take me a little bit of time of get used to using such a delicate (compared to what I had been using) yarn but I quickly fell in love with it. It is so soft and easy to work with, the colors in the cakes graduate so beautifully and the drape of the finished afghan is amazing. I love this yarn and will most certainly purchase more.

Love twister: bought a Halloween colour and it was amazing. It crochet beautiful with a 3.5 hook and the drape of the material it makes doesn’t get any better. It is easy to handle and feeds off the skein from centre, however, to match the darker colour to the next ball I had to feed it from the outside and it works just as well. I have not experience any yarn barfs with these skeins and the tangles if you get any come out fairly easy. The graduations of colours have been done well so you do not get just a straight line change. I have made a shawl but now working on a table cloth. It works well for all projects and extremely well for light clothing because it hangs so well. Enjoy this yarn, I know I continue to love the soft feel.

This is so far my favorite yarn that I have gotten!!! I love the colors of it and how it changes colors. Its so hard to choose from all the variety of colors that are available I want them all! I got the raindrops and am currently working on a shawl and it is stunning! (pictures to come). I love how soft the yarn feels. Also while working on the shawl as its laying on my lap I feel how warm it keeps me and I am looking at getting some more of this yarn to make a blanket with it. I have just started crocheting and find it to be very easy to work with. I can't wait to try more of the yarns and see what other amazing things I can make with not only this yarn but also all the other yarns I have saved in my wish list!

I am obsessed with this yarn and now have several cakes in my stash. It has great drape and pretty colors. I made a large shawl using the Jungle colorway, and was pleased with how light and drapey it is, despite the size. The yarn is made of 4 thin threads plied together, and the color changes as each thread is swapped out one at a time. The color changes are long, and give a dappled look and a subtle stripe as colirs change, rather than a gradual, blended color change. One note, as threads are swapped, there is a tiny knot. The knot is part of the way the yarn changes color, and is easily hidden. I am about to start another project wuth Twister, and look forward to working with it again!
