Manaya is a wonderful wool mix that is nice and warm. The large soft skeins with the finest mottles are in themselves so nice that you almost hardly have the heart to use them.
But when you first get a needle or hook in Manaya, it’s hard to put it down again. As with many color-changing yarns, it’s exciting to follow the colors. Knitted or crocheted, the shades merge into each other in beautiful stripes.
Fine South American wool has been used, so Manaya is delightful to use for scarves, hats, ponchos, or other cuddly accessories for example.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I have crocheted three hats so far with the #3 colorway and the striping it produces is just stunning! Extremely consistent, no need to fudge around with cutting and piecing. The feel of the yarn is very squishy and bouncy. It has a thick/thin texture in places so results in a fabric with a warm, handmade look to it. For a wool/acrylic blend it feels natural and soft in the hand when working it and it wear nicely with no itchy texture at all. Even my mom who is very sensitive to wools was able to wear her hat across her forehead all day with no itchiness. Would definitely recommend this yarn for anyone looking for a soft, durable yarn that comes in unique colors.

This is gorgeous yarn. The color combinations (I got colors 09 and 07) are stunning… very harmonious range of colors in one yarn. It’s very soft, very squishy, very nice feeling, and the cake is pretty big. My only issue is that I don’t think this is exactly worsted weight. It’s thinner than most of the worsteds I have on hand… I’d call it a light worsted maybe. I’m happy with this yarn nevertheless and am really looking forward to turning it into something beautiful. Love it.

I’m working on crocheting a mosaic rug with color way 10 of this yarn and the off white Fluffy Day. This yarn is absolutely beautiful!! It’s so soft and the colors are just as vibrant as in the pictures. You also get a lot of yarn with each one. Sometimes it can be a little tricky to work directly from the cake/ball because the outer rings start sliding off, so I now wind it into smaller cakes with my ball winder. Amazing yarn though, and I’m so excited to get more!

Oh my goodness. I was starting to make a gauge swatch and pulled the yarn which came out sooo easily and I started. Since the yarn is variegated, I started with a dark color. At first I thought it was black which was ok because the colors called for it, but when I looked on closer inspection, it was not black but had faint tones of the dark plum and blue. THIS YARNIS GORGEOUS. I love it soooo much. The Manaya yarn is sooo wonderful.

I bought the 06 to do the "virus shawl" pattern. The yarn was beautiful. 2 knots in the ball. Apart from that with a Prym wool hook it was a fantastic color way and suited the pattern very well. I have now used 2 skeins of 06. I have ordered more 06 and another in 07. can't wait to start working with them when they arrive, 06 has become very popular and is out of stock alot sadly. all up, a great yarn to use
