Meet the Rainbow family’s medium-sized Rainbow Cotton 8/6.
The Rainbow collection is one of our series of durable and soft vegan cotton yarns of really high quality, which has been a big favorite for a long time.
With a yardage of 105m / 50g, Rainbow Cotton 8/6 is an especially applicable thickness, just between 8/4 and 8/8 in the same series. Neither too thin and fine, nor too chunky and rustic, but just right.
Cotton fibres are good for withdrawing excess heat from the body and Rainbow Cotton 8/6 is thus very suitable for clothing. It would be great in a lovely summer top, a blouse, or a crocheted summer jacket. There are lots of possibilities. The Rainbow series is found in a plethora of nuances, so it should be possible to find the right nuance for your creative projects.
Rainbow Cotton 8/6 is also good e.g. crocheted teddy bears or amigurumi. By the way, did you know that for most crochet projects, e.g. teddy bears, etc, you can use the same pattern in all Rainbow sizes? You adjust the size of the crochet hook to the thickness of the yarn you are using, and the only difference is the size of the finished project. Lace, 8/4, 8/6, 8/8 = mini, small, larger, largest. Ready, set, go!
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Great thin yarn that can be used to make intricate amigurumi dolls. The cotton yarn is a lovely texture that is not too hard, but it is soft and silky to work with and feels nice when working with a crochet hook for a long time. Comes in a lot of wonderful colors, however the yarn does tend to be sold out in a lot of colors, which can be a little disappointing for when you're looking for just the right color. But also on the contrary, there are definitely a lot of wonderful colors that look accurate to their pictures in person! Overall, a lovely yarn that can be used to show intricate details in amigurumi as well as soft enough to be used as toys and other decorative purposes. 8/6 is definitely on the thinner side of yarns, but it gets the job done well!

Really enjoyed working with this yarn. It was my first time knitting with a cotton yarn and I didn't know what to expect. I knit the Seaside Dress (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seaside-knitted-dress) for my granddaughter in size 3 using Hobbii Rainbow 8/6 Color 53. A picture is posted in the photo gallery. I do have to say that the yarn is not forgiving. You need to be consistent in your tension and careful in deciding how and when to add your next skein and weave in your ends. The yarn is soft and feels nice on your hands. The dress drapes nicely and blocked well. I have some extra and plan to use it to make some washcloths. I don't have experience with other cottons so I can't compare, but I would use this one again.

might not feel amazing at first but once you work with it, it's soft not in a fluffy way but in a smooth way. I made myself a sunflower tote out of it, it's strong, it's pretty, I love it! definitely get this yarn if you're making something like a bag :)) colours come exactly how they're displayed on the website, tiny bit of staining in the package I ordered but I assume that's due to some water damage in delivery (a previous package from them however arrived perfectly, probably the courier's fault for the damage no worries)

I only like to work with natural fibres so this has been my choice for making amigurumi so far. Doesn’t split and is easy to work with. I like the wide range of choice in colours, as I can pretty much put together all kinds of pride flag combinations. I’ve so far only worked with royal blue, purple, and petunia pink (bi flag) and the colours are really strong and brilliant. Have now also ordered some more colours for variety. I just wish white wasn’t sold out.

When i first became a Hobbiist I didn't really know the differences between the cottons and the sizes and so I ended up buying a bunch of them for a project I'm working on. The 8/6 Rainbow cotton has been so useful for my scrubbies as it isn't too fat (like the 8/8) for the hook with the tulle I work along it. It also has an impressive drape which I find rare in the cotton yarns I have used. Would and will buy again!
