I find the Red Heart Super Saver is way softer now than it used to be, although it still not quite soft yet. I don’t mind that it’s a little bit stiff at first though because it stands up to years of use and truly does become Heirloom Blankets when items are made with RHSS

I absolutely love this yarn, easy to work with and the colors are beautiful. I also thought these were only 100 grams, very glad that it's more. 😁

I love Red Heart Super Saver so much because it is so affordable. It is also really good for tapestry work.

I have a love-hate relationship with Red Heart Super Saver yarn. It’s durable, easy care & holds up to years of frequent machine washing and drying heavy duty industrial washers and dryers. Most colors are hard on my hands to work with, except for white which is the softest since it’s not treated with any chemical dyes. Paler pinks and greens and soft navy are pretty soft. Vibrant colors are stiff and scratchy, but soften with repeated machine washing & drying. Yarnspirations customer service recommends to never use Red Heart Super Saver double stranded because it is stiff and extremely difficult to work with. It’s not my favorite yarn to work with. It makes a scratchy sound when crocheting & squeaks when I knit.
