The color possibilities that acrylic offers encounter the softest alpaca yarn creating Wheel of Alpaca, the most luxurious of our acrylic cake yarns.

Wheel of Alpaca is made out of 80% acrylic combined with 20% of alpaca. This blend will make acrylic lovers fall in love, and will definitely convert those who are not.

The color transitions are gradients, creating a beautiful ombré effect that ranges from earth and softer shades to bright and more intense colors.

If our other gradient cakes seemed a bit tricky to work with, this beautiful yarn is thicker and beginner-friendly as you can either use 3.5 mm (US 4) knitting needles or a 4.5 mm (US 7) crochet hook to start crafting. Wheel of Alpaca is 940 m (1028 yds) of super soft fluffiness and will give you many hours of knitting and crochet coziness. One cake will be enough to knit or crochet scarves and shawls. Being so soft, Wheel of Alpaca can be used to craft any type of garment, as well as cozy blankets. Moreover, it will be a great alternative for people allergic to sheep's wool.

The whole range comes with our “easy start” pull-out tab, making it much handier to find the beginning of your skein.

Wheel of Alpaca is really the thicker gradient cake we have all been waiting for.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I usually have sensory issues with both wool and acrylic, but I made my favorite afghan with this yarn. I still wouldn't have it directly on sensitive skin like my neck, but it is sooooo soft and warm in blanket form. It also blocks really well because of the alpaca fiber. I usually don't bother to block acrylic pieces since the fiber isn't really meant for it, but blocking this afghan created a very light and fluffy, warm piece that has great drape. I got Summer Nights and the piece worked up with even more beautiful color and transitions than I expected. Even though the yarn is bulky, one roll goes a long way. 10/10 would buy again!

This yarn is one of my favorites that Hobbii has. I’ve purchased several cakes of this yarn because I love it so much. I not only love the bold colors that are offered but I also love how it feels, and how for me easy it is to use. I have bought them not only for myself but as gifts and prizes for giveaways for my YouTube channel. And it’s always so hard to give them away because of how much I love them. I have made lots of shawls with this yarn due to the softness and each person that I’ve given the shawls made with this yarn loves them. Definitely worth picking up for shawls.

I am having the absolute best time making my second project with the Wheel of Alpaca! I made a shawl for my boss' birthday last year and not I am making a throw for my stepdaughter. She is moving from Miami, FL to Philadelphia, PA. I am making the Star Blanket. I used Divina in the colorway "Curry", for the center, since I had extra. I am using "Autumn Sun", which looks more like a sunflower than the smores I thought it would be! It's about halfway done and I love it already. I am wool sensitive, so it's definitely nice that I can actually use it!

WOW! Really pleased with the quality of this one! I love the colors, I love the texture, it's pleasant to use, and has a great drape!!!
It's 20% alpaca, but such a high quality acrylic that it keeps the delightful soft feel. I'm always impressed with Hobbii's standards when it comes to acrylic where other companies can have a less pleasant feel, and this is absolutely up to their high standards!!!! I love the color choices too!

I just finished a pullover in this and I absolutely love it. This yarn could pass for a blend with a lot more alpaca, it is fabulously soft. The drape is fabulous. It is warm and light. The yardage is pretty impressive--it takes awhile to get through a wheel. And the colors are really intense. I can't wait to use this again.
