This is a simple, easy pattern for beginners. You could easily finish this in a day and it’s really cute. The Pom Pom turns out great in Hobbii Snowstorm wool. My only recommendation would be to use a sturdy yarn to tie the Pom Pom together with because as soon as I tried to attach it to the top of the hat one of the yarn strands broke. I tried to spit felt the strand back together but it didn’t hold. I ended up reinforcing the Pom Pom with heavy duty cotton button/rug thread.

This is a nice quick pattern. I had a little bit of difficulty with it towards the end but that was my misunderstanding and nothing wrong with the pattern. It came out very nice all things considered:)

Very easy hat pattern, but not sure it would be a good one for a beginner as the instructions are a bit sparse. It doesn't "hold your hand" so it might be a better pattern for a second hat project.
