Amigo Chunky is a wonderfully thick yarn with a gorgeous and bouncy volume. It is produced in 100% HB acrylic of really good quality and a wide range of beautiful colors that scream creativity.
HB stands for high bulk. It is a production technique where you use steam and pressure to make the fibers contract a little and curl so that they become fuller. The result is a light and soft yarn that is both comfortable to work with and to wear.
With the big, puffy 100-gram skeins you will quickly see results. Amigo Chunky works best on a size 7mm hook/needle and up. It is therefore ideal for thick sweaters, cardigans, blankets, scarves, etc. The airy yarn keeps you warm and will not get too heavy.
Amigo is machine washable at 30° C, perfect for everyday use. Colors and shape will hold up to wash after wash. If you are allergic to wool, or if you want to opt out of animal fibers for other reasons, you can easily replace it with Amigo and get a soft and lovely result.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I'm an Aussie and we have the motto "home on the sheep's back" .. It has been very warm and it's hard to get a thicker yarn .. I have now purchased quite a bit from Hobbii and they have spoilt me with their wonderful selection and colors of their yarns
.. I have just finished a large baby shawl in "I love yarn" in the cream color ..it has 16 rows of hearts running down... it's just beautiful.. soft and easy to knit with .. it's very light but warm .. the color is like it's been dipped in cream .. I found most balls easy to knit from the centre .. delivery was exceptionally fast .. I will be buying more from Hobbi for sure .. thank you all at Hobbii ..

I'm trying Amigo Chunky for the first time. The product description is informative and honest. It is a dream to work with and soft and bouncy just like the description says. It's a solid go-to yarn if you need a wash-and-dry quality yarn for charity, gifts, or yourself. I'm only halfway through my project and based on the yarn quality and construction It became my number one chunky yarn. I will absolutely purchase this again and again. I look forward to trying the other thicknesses, too. With the great user-friendly site, customer service, quick shipping and shipping cost, and quality of the yarn and accessories I purchased, I will be a customer for life.

I've been putting off buying this because I don't really care for acrylic yarn. I'm not a yarn snob, but I just don't care for acrylic unless it's the smaller portion of a blend. However, the color was exactly what I wanted for a blanket I am working on so I decided to purchase this and it's perfect for what I wanted it for. I'm using it in the alpine stitch, size 7.0 hook, and it has great stitch definition, even though it's black you can still see all of the little "trees" very well. I've experienced 0 splitting. It works up so quickly and is very lovely and smooth to crochet with.

Hobbii has the softest acrylics of any brand I've tried. This yarn has great stitch definition and loftiness to it. I love how lightweight it is as I try to keep my projects in my lap as I crochet, and once the finished portion gets big enough, turning my work becomes a whole thing. This yarn almost bounces it is so airy. Easy to work with, minimal splitting but I think that was on me, not the yarn (I wind mine into cakes before using and sometimes i twist the yarn wrong and it loosens the ply). Best affordable 'staple' chunky acrylic yarn I've found so far

I love this yarn! I don't usually work with chunky yarn, but I wanted something soft and warm for a baby in a cold climate, as well as the colors that the new mom wanted. With 55 colors, Amigo made it easy. The blanket - Warm Stripes from Hobbii - is working up beautifully (if I do say so myself), and is soft and squishy without being too heavy. The yarn is a joy to work with - easy pull from the center of the skein, no splitting, and even consistency and color throughout. Another winner from Hobbii!
