I really like this yarn for toys. It is soft and only a tick splitty, not that difficult to navigate with a small hook. The colours displayed are pretty accurate, just a bit brighter but same shade/tone.
I live in Canada and most stores do not carry DK cotton so I was delighted to discover Hobbii! The amazing selection of colours is incredible and completely supporting my newfound amigurumi obsession! Even with the exchange rate, the price is reasonable and the shipping is surprisingly fast!
The only downside was that my order came completely lopsided - one bag had only two balls of cotton yarn and one bag was so overstuffed it did not close properly and it was sent to the post office. I had to walk to pick it up and carry it home and it was really heavy. I wish it was divided evenly between the two bags!

I got a few different colors for some Christmas gnomes I was working on, and I think I've found a new favorite ami yarn. I've tried a few different brands for amigurumi projects, and there's always something: the yarn is too smooth and stitches keep slipping, the yarn unravels and you get that issue of hooking too fast and the stitches tangling together/yarn mess, etc. I didn't have any of those issues with this yarn. They have tons of color options, the yarn feels great, it has good stitch definition, and it doesn't unravel on me. Definitely my new go-to for cotton project.
(Also, not so much on the yarn as it is Hobbii in general, but great service! The yarn arrived quickly (I was surprised how fast!), the package was in good condition, and there was a little candy inside? That was a sweet touch.)

First of all, I have this favorite color that I have a hard time explaining to people. It's a mix of purple and gray - a purple that trends gray. Hobbii has this elusive color that I love so much! Secondly, it's a very affordable, 100% cotton yarn, my absolute favorite kind of yarn to use. Also, I prefer a #3 DK yarn for most projects, so the 8/8 yarn is my go-to. Last, but definitely not least, is the shipping which is reasonably priced and quick, especially since I'm in the USA. Additionally, the yarn always meets gauge - I can't tell you all how many times I've looked at gauges on yarn wrappers, and wondered how they achieved that when I can't get to it with any size needles or hooks. This yarn gauges what the wrapper says, which makes my projects easier to plan. Please don't ever discontinue color #13!

I received some of this yarn in a lucky bag along with some Black Friday 8/8 Cotton. I noticed that both were listed as 82 yards/50 grams and 100% cotton so thought they would be interchangeable. I made a Double-Thick Pot Holder in a KAL this summer out of the yellow Black Friday 8/8 Cotton and thought the blue Rainbow Cotton 8/8 yarn I received would make a good set. When I started knitting with the Rainbow Cotton I noticed that the yarn was much lighter and softer...and my gauge was WAY off! What I didn't notice is that although the yardage/fiber content are the same the Rainbow Cotton 8/8 is labeled DK weight and the Black Friday Cotton 8/8 is labeled Aran weight! While I like both of these yarns, the Rainbow Cotton 8/8 is so soft, unlike a lot of other 100% cotton yarns I've tried.

I got my first order today. I am very impressed with this yarn so far. Might as well do a pro and con list. First the pros, great stitch definition, soft, no pilling so far, the colors are stunning, and the order arrived very fast considering it was coming from very far away. I would 100% recommend this yarn! Okay a couple cons tho. Skeins are pretty small. And I wish the 8/6 and 8/8 yarns had as many colors as the 8/4. Seems I read in the comments somewhere they had more colors before but got rid of some of them, I would love to see the wisteria color in 8/6 and 8/8. Or maybe bring those colors back once or twice a year in the other sizes as a limited time color(I bet theyd sell large amounts in bulk)
