Fruity Rainbow - Blanket

This is turning out cute, stitch pattern is easy and the color choices are nice, but I think that the Amigo yarn that was suggested is way too stiff and chunky to make this blanket very cuddly or user-friendly especially for kids and babies. It feels more like an area rug than a blanket and the only use I can see for this is as a play mat. Even then the chunky texture might be uncomfortable for babies to sit on. I think this pattern would be way better doubled in size using a smaller yarn, or if you want to keep it chunky, a velvet-chenille type yarn with a softer feel. Also make sure you like weaving ends in, because due to the color changing and instructions to cut yarn on literally EVERY row, there are a million of them.
I found a mistake row in the instructions (two white rows one after the other in the middle of the blanket) and some confusing directions about turning chains. I did figure out something that works and looks good after trying a few rows.
