I adore this pattern. I'm not sure Dirk is technically a dragon (he is lacking wings, so he's maybe a bit of a dragon/dinosaur hybrid?) but he is very cute. The way the legs and tail have been constructed means he sits up easily. Hopefully he stands up well to the serious cuddling he's going to be needed for!

Dirk was my first amigurumi ♥️ The pattern is so easy to follow. My first attempt was not done tight enough and there are little holes where I can see the stuffing. I’ve learned to yarn under since and my new Dirk is smaller but but much more refined looking.

One of my first amigurumi projects. Very easy and clear instructions and the pictures were super helpful when I wasn’t sure how it should look.
I made it with 8/8 instead of 8/4 and it turned out super cute!

I've shared a picture in the Photo Gallary of my Dirk the Dragon. I used Friends Cotton 8/4 in the two suggested colours, Turquoise (94) and Dark Turquoise (95). He is a gift for my soon to be great grandson.

I loved the pattern! Very easy to follow and I can’t wait to make it again. I did a trial run with some left over yarn I had so the detail is not all that great on mine… but gonna make another one!
