I have been wanting to try the Ribbon and wanted to make these baskets and I just love the pattern first time using the Ribbon yarn and it is so easy to work with and the pattern is easy to follow. I made a Large and a Small basket and have enough yarn to make another small one however the color on scheme i will have to make an adjustment as I go with it due to having more of one color than the other. I will post my picture soon, I will watch for this yarn to reduce in price before a buy again. I happen to watch the Facebook on Tuesday to get 40% off and that helped because my shipping for me here in US is $9.00 . Love Love Love my baskets. :)

Very easy to use this pattern, even for a newbie! I noticed mine wasn't really curving on the bigger basket so I switched at the end. I was using a 6.0mm hook for the base and bottom rows, and switched to a 5.0mm hook to make it a little tighter for the top 3 rows so that it pulled in a bit.
I also did my slip stitch row in just the back loops of the previous round so that it made a little ridge under my final row, which made it stand out really nicely since I also switched the slip stitches to a different color. I have pics up in the gallery.

I found this pattern easy to follow, and I'm very inexperienced at following written patterns. As others have said, the pictures were very helpful. I used the Hobbii Jumbo Ribbon yarn so ended up using a 10m hook for my basket. It looks great and i use it to store the other ribbon yarn I haven't yet made into anything.

This was my first time using ribbon yarn. Really easy to work with and the pattern was quite easy to follow. I am a new crochet person so still learning including learning crochet vocabulary.
