Step up your colour game with Sultan Deluxe: a premium cotton cake yarn with an elegant twist and unforgettable gradients.
Sultan Deluxe is made from 100% soft cotton and features a refined construction: 4 strands gently twisted together. This gives the yarn a slightly firmer feel while still maintaining a smooth, flowing drape, perfect for detailed stitches and crisp edges in both knitting and crochet.
Sultan Deluxe is all about long, luxurious colour transitions. The hues shift gradually, one strand at a time, creating a subtle gradient effect that unfolds slowly across your project. Where the colour shift occurs, you will notice a tiny knot in one of the four strands: a natural part of the yarn’s design. Many crafters work right through it, while others prefer to cut and weave in the strand for an invisible finish.
With a generous 1000 metres per 250-gram cake, Sultan Deluxe is ideal for larger or more intricate projects. It works beautifully with 3 mm (US 2.5) knitting needles or a 4 mm (US G-6) crochet hook, allowing the stitch definition and colour play to really shine.
The palette is vast and versatile, from bold, saturated brights to elegant, understated tones. Whether you are creating a vivid shawl, a flowing wrap, or a lightweight summer top, there is a colourway to match your vision.
Sultan Deluxe is the perfect choice for those who want stunning gradients and softness with a twist.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I am totally in love with this yarn! This is my first time working with a yarn that isn't very tightly woven and it took a minute to get used to. It is incredibly soft and creates very defined stitches, with a very nice drape. The finished item barely required blocking, which is always appreciated. I made the Numenna Shawl that is avaiable in the Hobbii Pattern store. My only issue with this yarn is that at each color change, there is a tiny knot where the next strand is added in and with the Numenna shawl, which has fairly open stitches, it forced me to cut that part out or end up with stray strands sticking out. I lost a little of the yarn in cutting out that section, but with a tighter, less lacy pattern, it would probably be easy to hide. I still had yarn left over after doing 2 more rounds than the pattern called for, so I still gave 5 stars. This yarn is well worth the price, and even better if you buy in bulk or catch it on sale!

I've never used a cotton cake before. I found a cute poncho pattern and wanted to give it a try. At first, I was nervous because the yarn was so thin. I didn't think it would wind up looking good if I used a larger hook size to get the right sizing. However, it turned out to be the most gorgeous, versatile yarn I've ever used. The material is soft, light, and durable. It makes for a beautiful stitch. The colorway was gorgeous. It started as a white and turned mint and then teal. It was such a painless transition between colors that it truly looks like a magical shift of blue hues.
I look forward to buying more. I had so much left on one cake that I can easily justify paying for this. I'd highly recommend for anyone who enjoys making ombre shawls/scarves/ponchos.

This yarn works up wonderfully and I'm finding I just love cotton in fingering weight. The only critique I have is that I wish on the colorways that have bigger color transitions (like rainbow jewel) that the yarn could benefit from having a run of solid color between the mixed ones- i.e. instaed of going right from orange/yellow twist into yellow/green twist, I would prefer if there were a chunk of solid yellow. This matters less with some of the colorways, but for a rainbow one especially it's really jarring to not really have any solids in between the twist transitons

I purchased Sultan Deluxe Cotton King’s Imperial Purple to make an Ultimate Sacrifice shawl, by Lorraine Pugh Designs, and I am amazed at the results! This fine cotton yarn was perfect for this project. This yarn was so easy to work with. The colors are amazing. As you work with it, and the colors change throughout the project, it’s breathtaking. The texture of the yarn is fine, and soft to the touch, and it holds together very well. The shawl barely needed blocking. I would definitely recommend this yarn for almost any project. I’m so happy with the results!

This was my first hobbii yarn purchase and will not be my last! The yarn is very soft and light and airy. I wish I had more people in my life who liked bold colors, but unfortunately I get a lot of requests for greys and browns. But I absolutely loved working with this colorful yarn for myself. I made a virus shawl that turned out beautiful. The yarn slides through your fingers easily and doesn't catch on my hook. My only complaint is about 3/4 of the way through the cake came undone and made a tangled mess, but that's partly my fault for moving around so much.
