Metallico is a lovely yarn that really catches the eye with its beautiful, satin shine. You might know other yarn qualities with similar metallic effects, but Metallico is soft like no other. Here you get the nice, shiny effect without compromising on comfort.

Metallico is made from a shiny, satin-like thread of polyamide that’s encased by a fluffy, lightly brushed mix of merino wool and soft acrylic. It can be used for the whole family - including those with more delicate skin since the yarn doesn’t itch but is soft and lovely. If you want a truly unique result in your next knitting or crocheting project, Metallico can be the perfect yarn for the job.

You can easily make the loveliest hats, scarves, or other accessories that will get the most beautiful shine that makes Metallico different from all other yarns. You can add elegant ribbed edges to your knitwork with it. Or use it in a festive sweater. The shine of the yarn can lift a very simple design into the extraordinary. A lovely, striped cardigan can become magnificent if you combine different colors.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

The whole concept seemed interesting, but in person it is on another level. It is different in the best way compared to all other yarns that try to have some metallic, shimmer, or other such affect. While most of those kinds of yarns come off as cheap or are hard to make the finished result look nice, this metallico yarn has all the promise of making something you make shimmer and look professionally done at the same! Also, in other yarns failing to make a similar effect there is an issue of many yarns being uncomfortable, scratchy, too stiff, and sometimes completely unwearable. Metallico yarn, I am happy to say, is pleasant to touch and so far is good for both loose draping clothes as well as those that need structure, and looks great with the crochet stitches I have tried out with it so far. So many garments I want to make with this it is so pretty and many color options I like!

Wow! I got Metallico for a kit that I saw on Hobbii’s site for a gorgeous shawl. The original color that it was showing was a navy blue. But I saw this burgundy color - and I had to have it. The yarn is so soft. The color is beautiful, and I loved using it. I made the shawl and like with most of the things I crochet, I gave it away. I usually never keep the things I make. I gave it to my mom and she loves it. She says she was surprised at how light it feels yet still keeps her warm. When I was using it I was concerned that it would split, but it didn’t. I love this yarn and if I could afford it I’d buy every color. The yarn is super smooth and easy to use. It slides through my fingers when I was crocheting my project so it made the project quick to make. I love this yarn. LOL course so far I have yet to be too disappointed with any yarn I’ve bought from Hobbii.

I am obsessed with any yarn that sparkles, but even I wasn't ready for this. If i could only use one metallic/sparkly yarn for the rest of my life it would be this one. No thin metallic thread that separates from the rest of the tarn and snags or breaks and is scratchy, NO SPLITTING (it might actually be witchcraft how easy it is to crochet with), doesn't lose it's shininess once worked up, and has gorgeous stitch definition. It glows. I'm desperate for more colors like a yellow gold or orange copper since I'm pretty sure this might be the only yarn I use from now on. Looks incredibly luxe and is surprisingly forgiving. This is the yarn I want to be buried with.

This yarn is beautifully soft and will be ideal for the crochet puff blanket I am making! I bought skeins of Pearl White, Night Blue, and Tahitian Green, and am planning to alternate the colors in a 1-2-3 pattern to create diagonal stripes for the blanket. I'm not sure yet how big I'll end up making the blanket, but the work thus far has been a dream; the yarn is so soft and silky to crochet with and works up beautifully. I bought multiple skeins and will try to make the blanket as big as I can; if what I have isn't enough, there's always more in stock, which I love. Thank you for being such a great store to find yarn at!

Laura

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this yarn!! When I first ordered it, my intentions were to make a scarf for myself - - but when I received it, and felt how phenomenally SOFT, and luxurious it is, I had to switch gears!! I ended up ordering MORE and making a beautiful shawl for my mother-in-law! And I wouldn't give her anything that wasn't "out of this world" soft and drapey (Yep! She deserves stuff that fantastic!)
Thank you Hobbii for making sure that EVERYTHING you sell is made with incredible care and quality! I have yet to receive ANYTHING from you that has been produced with less than A++ Brilliance!!
