Carnival is just as colorful as its name, a color explosion of yarn.

It is carefully created and the clear and gradual color shift is integrated into your project most wonderfully. In addition, the strong colors change automatically, so you’ll get nice stripes without having to join loads of ends.

With Carnival, you’ll get a super soft yarn that lasts, besides, it’s easy to handle as it can be machine-washed. It’s unbelievably soft, shiny, and totally itch-free as it doesn’t contain wool.

Be inspired by the radiant colors, when you knit or crochet Carnival and use it for everything from clothing to interior items. The color palette will only please.

Carnival is a single-ply yarn, which means it’s not spun from several strands. The rustic structure is reminiscent of handspun yarn with natural variation in strand thickness. With a single ply yarn, you get a nice softness and incredible colors. It also means that the yarn may feel loose and not as strong as other yarns. However, that feeling disappears completely once it’s worked up, and it will be just as resistant to wear and tear as other plied yarns.

Let the party begin!

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I am a yarn snob. I hate synthetics unless I am making stuff for children to abuse, and then I will mix some nylon in with cotton or or use up some old stuff from when I was just learning. I disavowed all forms of plastic yarn. But... I have friends with allergies and kids and pets and they need to be able to toss a thing in the wash. So, I kept seeing this yarn in online groups, and it looked pretty, and people said good things... And now I can't stop. It is gorgeous. The color changes are magical. It is soft, and doesn't make my nose itch or my fingers numb like normal acrylic yarn does. I want to make all the things. I enjoy it so much, even the light weight works up fast because I want to keep going and find excuses to sit and yarn. I just bought another pattern and committed to a second blanket in the stuff.I cannot imagine being disappointed in this yarn. Although.... It would be nice if they expanded the color options to include coordinating solids in the same yarn.

I used 3 skeins of the New Orleans color to crochet a triangle shawl for a friend, she's the one who picked out this yarn. This yarn was a DELIGHT to work with purely because of the incredibly vibrant colors. Everytime there was a color change I had a little surge of joy, that's how happy this color changing yarn made me. I found it pretty easy to work with overall. It is a little difficult to frog when you need to go back and fix a mistake cause the yarn is really grabby on itself, but with a little patience and occasional stops to handle a snag I was able to frog what I needed to and the yarn still looked amazing after being restitched. Finished product feels nice on the skin, no itchiness.

I used this yarn to make a throw. It’s fairly light weight but still provides warmth on those chilly fall days. I LOVE the vibrant colors and the gradual color changes. The yarn itself has a slight sheen and is very soft. My son is very sensitive to materials, so this is a big plus for me. It was fairly easy to work with, only having to stop for tangles a couple of times. It does take some patience when frogging stitches as it has a very slight halo that grabs onto itself. That being said, after frogging the yarn still looks beautiful when reworked. I loved it so much I ordered it in a different color for another project.

I got the color Trinidad (3) I fell in love with the colors in it. I made cowls and scarfs for Christmas I love the look of the color changes and how beautiful it changes. The down fall is if you try to frog 🐸 it it's not a nice yarn for 5hat you have to take your time doing it. I will however be buying more of this yarn to make granny squares to make a blanket because each one will come out differently because how the colors play out and I think it would be beautiful. I would recommend this yarn to anyone who know what they are doing not someone who is just starting out.

I bought this yarn because of the brilliance of the colors. When it came, my great granddaughter picked up the purple, handed it to me and said “purple please”. I made her a sweater and she wears it every day according to her mother. Ask her what color is her sweater and it’s “purple please”. The yarn was great to work with and knits up beautifully and washes great. She wants a sweater for her bear to match. My other great granddaughter picked the reds and is waiting for meto finish hers. I love Hobbi yarns. I have never had a yarn I was disappointed in.
