This was my first knit hat. I made it with Amigo Giga that I received in a lucky acrylic bag. The circumference of my head is 22 inches around, which is normally a size Large Adult hat. This hat runs very large, and would easily fit an adult male with a 23 inch head circumference. It’s more of a slouchy hat. Since the beanie tail in the photo was super long with 6 final rows as pictured, I cast off after 4 rows and it looked fine. If somebody is tiny or has a small head, this would be too big. There is a slight pattern error: row 20 should say 64 stitches instead of 66. This hat is soft and warm, and will be perfect for wearing in winter storms. You need a 2mm to 5mm wool needle to sew up the back seam with Amigo Giga.
