PATTERN INFORMATION

Beautiful summer top in a light and airy pattern. The top is worked from the bottom up – starting with the body, then dividing into a front and back panel and finally the straps are added.

The photos also show the following colours: Friends Weel col. Misty Green (113).

I really like this pattern. It's very similar to the My precious cardigan pattern, because you quickly realize what row comes next after the first set of rows. So you don't need to look at the pattern again until the top section.
Attention: instructions for part of row 5 are as follows: "*ch 1, sk 1 st, 2 dc in the next st, 1 dc in each of the next 4 sts, dc2tog, "
I believe this should have read " 2dc in next st" instead of that last dc2tog. Otherwise you're left with 7 stitches instead of 8, and then you can't have 8 stitches on top in the next row, and the top will have this really uneven wave. Other than that, I found this pattern pretty easy to follow. I've been crocheting for 20+years though.

I had sizing issues - was using rainbow bamboo instead of the recommended yarn. Dropped to a 3mm hook and gauge was still large so dropped to the small pattern. Turned out to be on the small side for a medium. All of that is likely at least in part due to different yarn. Overall the pattern is straightforward for the body. I like it was in the round. However, the top portion is very confusing despite the graph and the description. Row 12 of the top portion Is inaccurate and you need to follow the graph (I’ll send hobbii an email so this could change in the future). To tell you to do it in reverse on the other side is confusing because you will be working the other direction which does make a difference in your stitches. It’s hard to know which direction goes toward the middle of the shirt as well. The top part took me a very long time with multiple efforts. It would be easier in the future but can’t say I’ll make another. I’m glad I made the one.
