This pattern is easy to alter to fit a larger size, I'm an XL and was able to make it bigger on my own. However, if you make this make sure you either chain more for the strings than it says or do a single crochet and not a slip stitch. The slip stitch drastically shortens the string and I can barely tie it now. I also could not get my scallop edge to look like the picture. It kept bunching up and looked bad so I removed it and kept the plain cups. Overall it is a nice pattern that is easily customizable.
