Dolce Cashmere is an amazingly soft and fabulous wool blend mixed with pretty, lightweight cashmere. The yarn is specially produced for Hobbii at a small, family-run spinner in Italy. Here they have innovatively and carefully spun good and beautiful yarns throughout generations.

The color play in Dolce Cashmere is something unique since the colors slowly transition throughout the 842 yards (770 m) of yarn per skein. The large, incredible skein of 7 oz (200 g) is specially meant for soft scarves and shawls in which cases the color transitions really appear. Here we recommend knitting with needle size 2.5-4 (EU: 3.5-4mm) for a soft and even bulkier result.

Cashmere can be worn directly on the skin and warms nicely since the cashmere fibers are good at isolating and containing warmth even better than wool. Of course, you can also use Dolce Cashmere e.g. hats, gloves, or other kinds of clothing. When doing so, you can easily downsize your knitting by knitting a bit denser by using needle sizes 2.5-4 (3-3.5 mm). However, please remember always to knit a gauge swatch before starting your project. Itโ€™s usually time well spent.

NOTE: Please note that a printing error has occurred on the label: The yarn must be washed by hand and must NOT be machine-washed. We apologize for the inconvenience!

I used to work in a high-end yarn store, where we carried quite a lot of hand-dyed hanks of wool/silk/cashmere blends in fingering weight for shawls and sweaters. Those were as much as $35 to $40 per 100 g hank for the most expensive blends (so close to $100 for 200 g). Dolce Cashmere, especially on sale, is a good substitute when you want close to that quality, but not the price tag. These are commercially dyed, but that means that the colors will be more consistent if you need more than one skein, though they are less richly-colored than hand-dyed yarns (there are pros and cons to both, so I'm not making any judgements). This is supposed to be a sport weight, but I feel it is a lighter sport weight or a fingering weight, but the yardage is wonderful. I bought the Blue Fade, and I'm waiting for Sangria to come back into stock.

This is just the most beautiful yarn and probably the most expensive I have ever bought but well worth it and I got it in the sale so what a bonus. As I'm relatively new to crochet I have been reluctant to buy very expensive yarn as I didn't think my work would warrant it but have decided that a beautiful yarn will make a beautiful garment. I haven't started a project yet with this yarn but have crocheted a swatch and it is just silky smooth to work with. I can't wait to get started on an infinity scarf with this yarn.

When I ordered this yarn I was a bit scared because sometimes what you see is not quite what you get. First the delivery was really fast, I ordered on a Saturday night and received it the next Friday which is really amazing. When I opened up the package I was pleasantly surprised. The yarn is exactly as described and shown on line. I ordered Blue Fade (02). Beautiful yarn and so soft. I ordered it to knit Ceramic from Ravelry. So ladies do not worry about ordering this yarn it is well worth it.

This is hands down the most expensive yarn I've ever bought, but it has absolutely been worth every penny. It is buttery soft, with STUNNING color gradients, and it works up like a dream. I was just commenting to my husband that I haven't seen a single knot in this skein and the ombre gradient is SO pretty. I bought my first in Rose Gold (07), and am back 10 days later shopping for more colors with which to make Christmas gifts. Saving money on multiples is a serious bonus too.

Delicate looking but strong yarn. Beautiful colors. I bought02, 03 and 04, I am making scarves with this yard. They will look very classy and perfect to wear when I want something very nice looking. It is expensive, but it is worth it for the cashmere. Yes, even the sale price it is expensive but worth it because I can make the scarves to my exact specification and not what someone else decided. I prefer to make things the ideal with and length for the wearer.
