Universe XL Halloween came right over from the dark side! An eerily beautiful addition to our popular Universe family. The usual, harmonious colors have been replaced by thrillingly vibrant colors, oozing with personality.
The yarn has long and beautiful colorways with gorgeous transitions between the different colors. And it even has a glitter thread, adding that touch of real Halloween magic. The color of the glitter thread matches the primary color of the yarn to give it a subtle and elegant effect. It’s soft and you won’t feel the glitter thread in the final project.
Universe XL Halloween is nice and chunky and amazing to work with. It has a running length of 220 m (241 yds) per 100 grams (3.5 oz) and can be used for any project where you’d like that little extra volume.
You can make the craziest Halloween sweater, funky hat, or maybe a magical, enchanting shawl in hypnotic purple or poisonous green colors. Luckily, Universe XL Halloween can be used all year round. You could also use it to knit or crochet a colorful blanket with a touch of bling.

I got every color but #4 (which I now regret) and I am IN LOVE! I ended up stocking up even more :) I'm currently making a mesh sweater with Dark Matter (pattern, for anyone interested, is: Onyx Mesh Sweater by smidgenofsam on ribblr!) I also plan on making a shawl with Intergalactic Monster :)!
The only thing I have to warn about is that you have to take much more care with the tinsel! It CAN bunch up but usually, it's an easy fix :)
The variegation is GORGEOUS and the yarn is quite soft! I was worried about the tinsel being scratchy but it's not bad at all!

I am in love with the Halloween yarn! This is my first time getting any kind of Halloween themed yarn from anywhere and its honestly amazing. I got Dark Matter and like all the universe yarns, there is a nice amount of each color before the color change which is something I am always looking for in a yarn with color change. The glitter strand held up well to my granny square swatch which is excellent!

I got both 2 skeins of both #3 and #4 to make witch hats with for halloween. They both turned out amazing thanks to this yarn! I love the colors and the sparkle. My only slight criticism is that the tinsel snapped a lot on both of my skeins of #3. Thankfully I was able to blend the tinsel back in each time and everything still turned out beautifully.

I didn't realize it had a glitter effect when I purchased, but I was so happy when I found out. I got the horror halo variant because purple is one of my favorite colors and the gradiant of this yarn as I work is so pretty and intoxiating to me. The glitter thread isn't bothersome to the texture at all and adds a nice touch that is so fun to work with.

Love this yarn! The colors are so vivid and the yarn is very soft when worked up. The glitter thread can be a little annoying but just be careful and make sure you get the glitter on your hook or needle as you work so it won’t drop and get bunched up or snagged. Slow and steady :) can’t wait to use more of it!
