We really just cannot get enough of our fantastic Friends Cotton 8/8.
Cotton is a great, strong, durable, breathable, absorbent, and lightweight natural fiber. Friends Cotton 8/8 has no less than all these characteristics and it is made out of 8 threads spun together.
All the shades have been thoughtfully selected to create a complete range that spans from bright to pastel and darker colors.
The whole range comes with our “easy start” pull-out tab, making it much handier to find the beginning of your skein.
This fiber is also easy to take care of, making Friends Cotton 8/8 so versatile that you can craft anything with it. Need some inspiration? We recommend dishcloths, pot holders, totes, and rugs for your house. It will be suitable for any kind of garment for both babies, children, and adults. And let’s not forget stuffed toys, amigurumi, and cute animals. Cotton has a great stitch definition and will work amazingly well with textured stitches.
If that all was not enough already, another great thing about our Friends cotton yarns is that they are vegan-dyed.
Aren’t you already in love with Friends Cotton 8/8?
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/
About the Friends family
The colors of the yarns included in the Friends family are literally friends!
This means the color numbers correspond to the same color across the different Friends yarns. If you order the same color number from two different Friends yarns, they will match. Please note that there can be slight differences in the shades from fiber to fiber.
Have fun combining and matching them in all your projects.

This is a review for “Friends cotton 8/8”
First off, I am now an absolute fan of this yarn!!! I normally buy my yarn at brick and mortar stores simply because I have to see and feel what it is I am buying since I am still fairly new to the different weights and types of yarn. However, this yarn did not disappoint! It is soft to the touch and true to the colors in the picture.
The yarn worked up beautifully. I had a few moments where the fibers split using my B hook but after a minor adjustment to my tension it was easily resolved.
I am inclined to compare its texture to I Love This Cotton by Hobby Lobby or Feels Like Butter by Lion brand. It is however the slightest bit thinner than both of the previously mentioned brands. I would say more like a sporty weight or like the Just Cotton line from Premier.
Overall, it was the perfect weight in yarn for my amigurumi project. I will be buying more in the future ❤️

After falling in love with amigurumi and watching endless videos on tips and tricks, I bought a boatload of this cotton (and Rainbow) in various colors to make the characters from the pattern books I bought. It came highly recommended by several influencers. It really was the reason I started buying from Hobbii. I think it is fantastic and I especially love the color variety between the two lines. I can pretty much match any project. I would say it definitely lived up to all the hype, except I found it a little splitty using a 3mm crochet hook to get the tight stitches at first. This minor issue resolved itself after some practice. I plan to buy again and again. I will post a picture of my first Friends project.

This turned out to be a thicker yarn than I was anticipating. I have a hard hard time, understanding, yarn weights in general. When I was reading the description of this, I expected a weight three yarn, but I would say this is more like a weight 4/worsted weight. I would compare it to Michael’s loops and threads classic acrylic or hobby lobby I love this yarn acrylic. The thickness is about the same. Aside from being a little heavier than anticipated, this is fantastic! It is soft and easy to work with. I am not a huge fan of cotton, it tends to be on the side, but that could not be further from the case with this! This is now my go to brand of cotton yarn forever.

I’m using this yarn to make a Persian tile blanket. I got colors 3 and 20 friends cotton 8/8. And have been using it with friends cotton 8/6 in colors 5 and 10. As listed in the description, friends cotton 8/8 is about 33 yards less than cotton 8/6. I think this is to make up for the fact that cotton 8/8 has 2 more strands in the yarn than friends cotton 8/6. However, although this yarn is just a tiny bit thicker, perhaps a bit fluffier and has stunning colors and great quality I do think the skeins are very small and the colors are often out of stock making it hard to buy certain colors when in a time crunch for a project.

You must try this yarn!! I usually buy the rainbow cotton 8/4, and I love that so much, that I never thought I would get anything else. However, I really want to make a cardigan, and I would prefer yarn that is a bit thicker so it can be a warmer piece. Well, the friends cotton 8/8 IS thicker, and the softest yarn I've ever felt. It feels so good on my face. Lol. I bought the color called Turkish Blue, and it must be popular, because I tried adding another 22 skeins to my cart to order, and it was sold out. The color itself matches the picture exactly, and it's such a beautiful color that I can't wait to order more.
