Upcycled Alpaca Blend is a unique fusion of 33% alpaca, 33% wool, and 34% acrylic made in Peru. All fibers are carefully selected and repurposed making this yarn more environmentally conscious.

Alpaca will give a nice insulation and a plush texture, wool will provide warmth, and durability, whereas the acrylic component will add practicality and structure to your finished piece.

Upcycled Alpaca Blend’s color palette is natural and subdued, reminding of the tranquillity of natural landscapes during the cold seasons. From soft greys to delicate blues, and earthy tones, your projects will have that beautiful elegance and sophistication.

Imagine creating warm soft sweaters, cardigans, and pullovers, but also timeless accessories such as scarves, headbands, mittens, beanies, neck warmers, and shawls.

Embrace the elegance with Upcycled Alpaca Blend.

Note:  We recommend securing enough yarn for your project, as the colors are a limited edition due to the nature of recycled fibers.

A must-try. I received this yarn in three shades: Oat Milk (01), Yam (05), and Light Peach (06) in order to make a checker/patchwork cardigan and I couldn't be happier with my selection.
The yarn itself is a lot softer than I expected it to be, definitely not a scratchy wool or alpaca, I only have two panels done but it's smooth and silky to the touch (I knit with two strands held together). It feels quite luxurious and because it's recycled, you get a nice marled, almost hand-dyed look to the color (I received my skeins all from the same dye lots and can't notice a color variation).
I would say this is more of a light-worsted/aran weight yarn, I'm combing two strands on 8mm needles and its perfect.

I am EAGER to start a new project with the shades of green as well, really hoping this "limited edition" yarn lasts a bit longer.

This is a "just right" kind of yarn. Nice texture, works up well, frogs very well. I do find with Tunisian crochet I should go up a full or half hook size to make it a bit less stiff, but if you crochet loose to begin with, you're gold. Bit surprised by the bits of extra fibres though - some stellina (shiny stuff), blops of funky colour like bright yellow or green, a bit of fibre that sticks out - but that actually adds to the character of the yarn and gives it a bit of a pop. Bought several colours and working on a hooded cardigan, absolutely no complaints.

This yarn is beautiful! It's soft, lightweight, and really comfortable to wear. Being a mix of alpaca, acrylic, and wool, I was really curious to see how it felt, if it was scratchy, if it felt squeaky, if it would stretch out, but it seems to have the pros of each fiber without the usual cons. It does have a halo of alpaca fuzzies, giving the fabric a rustic, heathered look, but without any prickliness. It feels pretty light for a worsted-weight yarn, you could probably get away with knitting it at a DK-weight gauge, too. I would happily use it again!

I originally got this same yarn from another site a year and a half ago, out my project away, realized I was not going to have enough, so googled. And I saw it wasnt available on the other site anymore but that it was here under different shade names and logos! So I took a risk and bought what seemed to be the same colors, thinking I couldn't find this yarn anywhere else at the time and even if it's slightly off, I'd rather have a finished piece than an ALMOST not finished piece! It ended up being perfect match and is 100% the very exact same yarn!

Like one review notes, this is more of a light worsted than a worsted, and has a nice smooth soft texture. I'm currently making a poncho with the Grass Green color. That green is a darker shade than the product image - which is fine, just something to note while trying to pick between that and the Lichen green. In the images with the various skeins you can see it in the left corner and that seems to be a more accurate color than the more lime/yellowish green that is used for the standalone image (at least on my screen.)
