A thick and lovely 8/8 yarn in 100% cotton. Cotton 8/8 is spun with 8 threads, which makes it double as thick as a 4-threaded cotton yarn (8/4). Cotton Kings 8/4 is produced in 100% pure and lovely cotton and comes in a large assortment of nice, fresh colors.

Cotton 8/8 is suitable for pretty much any knitting and crocheting projects where you want sturdy and strong cotton. It is perfect for Summer clothing and interiors, e.g. towels, dishcloths, amigurumi, teddies, and throws.

Be aware that the yarn can be machine-washed and as with 100% cotton yarn, it is even suitable for boil washing. This is especially important if you use the yarn for dishcloths, towns, etc. On the label we recommend 40°C, but only because the heat can make the colors fade in the long run.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Easily the nicest cotton I have ever knit with. Here in Melbourne, it is too warm to wear wool for a large part of the year but I dislike how cotton stockinette looks uneven and imperfect. At a firm gauge, my sweater is knitting up beautifully, it looks just as bouncy and perfect as wool and feels great in the hands. The colour (dark pink) is gorgeous, even and saturated. I'm knitting cables and moss stitch and the stitch definition is beautiful. I will definitely use this cotton again!

this is one of my most used yarns <3 it's great soft yarn, perfect for summer clothing, plushies, and various items around the house. the DK weight is super versatile. I love how many colors in comes in. It double strands nicely, and I've had gorgeous results double stranding a series of colors to create a smoother gradient than I could with just the available colors. I've dyed the white 01 with RIT dyes, and had great results making my custom colors for my most picky projects.

I Have bough a 'lot' of this yarn! My first project was in the gorgeous sky blue. I was so happy to find that the dye lots were consistent, really noticeable and important when you are using a plain colour.I have made a pretty little pram blanket with it for a baby shower. It works up beautifully, and quickly too as a DK. I chose this yarn for a baby as it is machine washable and durable. Looking forward to using my other batch!

Received three balls of Cotton King 8/8 in golden yellow, and plan to make a summer hat.. The thickness and durability of the yarn should suit this purpose. The color is lovely, and I will likely wait for the grey to be available again as a contrast color for a Rose motif. I appreciate how affordable Hobbii makes the postage - it makes it possible to come back when additional materials are needed

Fiona

This is a nice, smooth cotton. I purchased it because it had the colours I wanted for my project, and they arrived very true to what I expected. I'd say it's a moderately soft cotton; a little bit of roughness to it, but not too much. It's a good fit for amigurumi, or practical objects, but I probably wouldn't choose it for garments worn against the skin. Perfect for the right project, though.
