First, the good stuff: This yarn is beautiful, works up nicely, and is fairly soft. The colors are vibrant, the dye job is even, and the colors are even prettier in person!
Some additional considerations: Although it is soft, it is also a tad scratchy (it is wool, after all). Second, it twists up a lot. If I knit for ten minutes, I'll have to untwist it from the skein end or the working yarn will be tightly twisted. I've never had this issue with yarn before, but it may be my knitting style; I noticed it happened less often when I switched to continental. Part of me thinks I ought to remove a star for these two things, but they're minor considerations (and since it is 100% wool, it is to be expected). I love this yarn. Great for warm, bulky hats!

I got this in a lucky bag and i have to say im pretty impressed with its durability. i frogged (or ripped as im not gentle) this thing totally 5 times, a few more halfway down, sewed twist and took apart 4 times
Held up very well. Posted a pic in the gallery. Snagged a couple of times but not to throw it across the room or graveyard projects level.
Compared with tweed delight which snagged and snapped constantly and looked like a fluff ball after less than what I put this one through. Though that could do with the flecks. That didnt stop me from ordering 10 more balls cause it fleckin pretty😂
Anywhosies 5 stars for durability alone. Its pretty too. Didnt have drastic thin and thickness transitions either.

Good yarn for the price, considering it's 100% wool. I like how that gave me some extra control over the final sizing. It blocked out a bit large but shrank back up with a few minutes in the dryer. At first the roving quality was a little stressful. I had to work extra hard to avoid splitting, and i worried about the integrity of my final garment. But i ended up with a fabric that, with a tight gauge, feels really thick and solid. A little itchy but that's to be expected with wool. Perfect yarn for outerwear, not so much garments close to the skin. I could even see its natural water resistance as I was trying to block it!

LOVE this yarn. it's very soft for wool, sheds a bit with the first few wearings, but that is to expected with this type of yarn. It is warm and comfortable to wear. As a side note, the sweater I made was a teensy bit too large for me, and kept falling off of my shoulders. i put it in a cold rinse/spin cycle in my washer, then dried it in 5 minute increments (20 mins total for me). It didnt felt, (although I doubt I could frog it at this point if I tried!) And is love it even more! It made it softer, and put an end to the shedding!

This is a 100% wool, roving-style yarn, and you can really tell. There's a very 'rustic' feel to it, but I kinda love that. The colours are beautiful and saturated. It has that thick-and-thin quality you expect from roving-style, but it's not as extreme as I was expecting (the width of the yarn stays pretty consistent throughout the skein). It's probably a bit rough for something worn against the skin, but I love it for house-wares and similar items.
