Horizon is a 100% premium acrylic yarn. It is processed in several steps, that are similar to the processing of wool. The acrylic is combed, which makes it richer and extra soft. Furthermore, Horizon has been through a Hi-Bulk process, where the yarn is steamed under production resulting in a more comfortable and softer feel. It is spun from anti-pilling acrylic fibers, which makes the yarn less likely to pill compared to standard acrylic.
The long color changes result in mainly bright, vibrant, and joyful stripes, as well as a few pastel options. The 550-meter-long skeins will get you very far in the progress of your projects making sure that you have fewer knots to hide.
Horizon does not itch and can be machine washable. It will do wonders for garments, accessories, and interior projects such as pillow covers and blankets. It can be a great alternative for those who are allergic to wool.
Stitch your way to many colorful landscapes with our Horizon.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/
NB: Horizon is colored in hanks and, during the coloring process, before the color is fixed the threads can give off a little color where they meet. This can result in a few extra colored spots within the color sections.

I got 4 cakes of #08 (Twilight) to make a hexagon cardigan, and it was love at first stitch! I love working with anti-pilling acrylic because of its squishy, bouncy texture, and this yarn flows so easily and beautifully in the hand and over my crochet hook. I had lots left over and have been using it to crochet some matching accessories. It is SUPER soft and lightweight, and I love all the rich, beautiful colors.
Best to be mindful while using it, though, that if you pull from the center like I do, once you've used about half it will collapse on itself and become tangled very easily. So, unless you habitually pull from the outside, once you reach a certain point it's worth taking the time to wind the remainder up into a ball. Additionally, there is a certain chance for factory knots -- of the 3 cakes I used, only one was knot-free. Still definitely worth using in my opinion, and I will 100% be using it again, but you do need to have a certain amount of patience with this yarn.

What amazing yarn! This was my first time buying from Hobbii. When the Horizon yarn went on sale last year, I was going over all the colors that were left. I very seldom buy anything for myself. My late husband (he was so amazing and loved watching me crochet and create beautiful afghans, but most of all, he loved to help me pick the colors out for not only the afghans, but the borders as well). When the yarn came, it was so soft and so easy to work with (no splitting). I was able to make one afghan on our trip from VA to Myrtle Beach SC. I finished the afghan on the Saturday that we got back (we were gone for 1 week), and I lost him in his sleep the very next day. I would recommend this yarn to anyone that I know that does any kind of craft using yarn, because this yarn is amazing to work with, and it has very special memories behind me not only trying it for the first time, but it has one of the last good memories with my husband!

Let me start by saying, I typically dislike acrylic yarn. That said, I bought (5) Sunup Sky and (5) Flower Meadow. This yarn is unbelievably soft. It feels nice while you're working it up, it feels nice on my sensory-sensitive skin, and even when you're re-winding it, the portion flying through your fingers isn't rough. I bought Kind Feather in Yellow to be my complimentary/edge yarn. To me, Kind Feather is a PERFECT match. I am anxiously awaiting some colors to restock and for it to pop back on sale. I will a million percent buy more of Horizon in the future.
I love how long/short the color changes occur. The finished product has amazing squishy, stretchiness. I only wish the winter season where I live was longer, because the sweater I'm finishing up isn't going to be of use to me again for several months lol

I had no idea what I expected with this yarn- I ordered some in the colors Ocean, Desert, and Island. My only regret is that I should've bought more than one skein of each! They were so bright, so vivid, and so very soft to the touch! It's weight was even throughout and I had no issues with knots. One or two spots had some colors bleed into another, but this was very minor. It also looks pretty good crocheted in half-double crochet and double crochet, and was very easy to work with even when I changed gauges. I highly recommend this yarn for shawls, as well as projects that look good with sharp contrasting colors or different shapes. I do recommend you turn the brightness on your screen up to view the colors properly, though, as they may be brighter than they appear.

I bought this yarn to make an afghan for a baby in Texas. I probably only needed to buy 2, but I bought 5. I did get it when it was on sale. I have been very sick for 4 months, so I deserved a treat. Today I went to my knitting group for the first time in months. Everyone went crazy over the yarn. It is soooooooo soft and the colors are fabulous. I already have someone putting claims on what I have left over. I did not start working on it yet as I had to straighten the cord in my new needles. If I see yarn I like, I will not hesitate to buy. The quality, the color and the delivery are outstanding. The yarn took more time to get from New York to just north of Boston than it to from Denmark to New York. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
