Such a unique yarn required an equally unique name. Panettone might remind you of the famous fluffy Italian sweet enjoyed during the holiday season. We feel like we cannot get enough of the holiday vibe, even when it is out of the season. We just want to keep the yarn party going all year!
Panettone is made out of 87% cotton, 7% polyamide, and 6% glittery metallic fibers. We recommend knitting this beauty of a yarn with 4.5 mm (US 7) knitting needles, but feel free to double it up to achieve a chunkier and even more colorful effect.
The color palette is vibrant and fun, without giving up the pastel colors we all like. The glittery fibers are completely blended into the yarn, hence you won’t be able to feel it on your skin at all. It will be perfect for clothing, home decor, or anything else that you want to create with some sparkles.

I bought this yarn in the color 03. I wasn’t sure what project I was going to use it for but I loved the look and colors. My sister found a pattern for a water bottle/ cell phone holder that strapped crosswise across the body and she really wanted me to make it for her. She selected this yarn and I was pleasantly surprised that it worked beautifully. The color with the metallic sparkle is gorgeous and even more importantly the result was a very sturdy finished piece that will weather well when she takes it along on her dog walks. Sometimes pretty yarns look nice but aren’t practical for projects that are going to undergo a fair amount of wear and tear. This yarn will hold up well and look great!

This yarn is especially easy to crochet because of its chainette construction. The nylon content gives it so much stretch, too, no matter what stitches I make. I'm doing a modified single crochet stitch and I can't believe just how much stretch this fabric has. I might need to frog my work to make my rows shorter because this has so much stretch. I didn't realize it was going to be as shiny as it is, that was a nice surprise. And the skein seems to be giving me a lot of use for the yardage. I'm very happy with the Panettone yarn. It's very easy to work with and the colors are very rich.

I absolutely love how this yarn works up. The metallic thread might feel a teeny bit scratchy while working with it, but the finished garment is so soft. I have no problem at all wearing it directly on my skin (and I usually have sensory issues so I was pleasantly surprised). The sparkle was perfect for giving my lace fairy coat a whimsical look. Will definitely buy this yarn again

I got color 5 because I love how the reds and pinks look together! I made a knit vest using this yarn and it's so pretty how the metallic threads catch the light sometimes. I did find that the metallic thread was a bit scratchy to work with and sometimes my knitting needles would get caught on them, but overall it was still a smooth knitting experience.

I used color 12 for a top. I was worried that the metallic part of the yarn will be scratchy. It isn't. I love the top I made, love the color of the yarn and also the sparkle that the metallic part gives. The yarn was super easy to work with. I think I will get more of it in different colors. This is one of my favorite yarns.
