Umami is one of our thickest yarns. A large skein of 150 grams of chunky, super bulky softness. The ideal mix of wool and acrylic makes the yarn both durable and warm.

The yarn has a beautiful structure which is also easy to work with. The two fibers create beautiful color shades, since the shades in the wool and acrylic vary slightly in color. The colors will stay beautiful year after year.

If you’re a new knitter or crocheter, Umami is a great yarn to start with. The stitches turn out even and pretty, and you can try out creative ideas easily and see the results of the hard work in the finished project.

Umami doesn’t itch, is soft against your skin, and is machine washable, which makes it perfect for lots of different projects for the entire family. It really shines when used for blankets, pillows, and accessories, as well as in a warm jacket, poncho, or chunky sweater.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Loved working with this chunky yarn! Made a beanie and it turned out kinda stiff, but definitely nice and warm. I will say I used black and I could see all kinds of small shed from the yarn as I was working with it, so keep that in mind if that's an issue for you.

This yarn is a great choice for chunky knits. The cognac color is rich and beautiful. I used it to make a baby blanket and it worked up quickly. The finished product had a nice weight to it so I think it will use this yarn to make a weighted blanket next.

Angie

Absolutely love crocheting with this super bulky yarn! It works up so beautifully and really shows off the stitches in the blanket that I'm making. I also love that there are so many color choices available. I will definitely be using this yarn again!!

Claire

Beautiful yarn, knits up very quickly. Feels nice to the touch and is very warm for the blanket I am making. Have not washed the full blanket yet, but have spilled coffee on parts of it, and cleaned up like a breeze! Love this yarn!

Chelsea

Absolutely beautiful! The yarn is so soft and squishy and builds up quickly. I think I didn’t order enough for my project but that my fault. Oh no! Guess I’ll have to buy more yarn 😂
