I wanted to crochet a pillow for my son in yellow, white and grays and the search for velvet yarn in these colors led me to Hobbii. This is my very first order, and I'm pleased with the yarn. The colors were true to the screen. It's easy to handle, and works up soft and cuddly. I'm using a "G" crochet hook to work up a chevron pattern. I've had to frog part of a row a few times because I miscounted and the yarn held up well. My only complaint is one of the skeins had multiple spots where the yarn was joined with knots, which was annoying. After I finish this project, I will definitely be ordering more yarn from Hobbii. All in all, for what I paid for the yarn, it's going to be an expensive pillow, but it is what it is. I can't wait to try some of the other yarns.

I just got around to opening the package that contained this yarn and I had to drop all my other projects and start on the basket weave pillow pattern that is available from Hobbii. This stuff is so soooo soft and easier to work with than I had expected. I was working slower with it than I work with other yarns, but am very pleased that it doesn’t fall apart when I have to tug it a little to get into a stitch. Again, this stuff is so soft. It’s a wonderful pleasure to work with!

I am still a bit new to crochet, and have tried few types of yarn and this one is my favorite. I first bought it in grey to make a gargoyle, and I just ordered more in yellow for another plushie. It is a real pleasure to work with it, and it is really soft for a plushie. It is easy to crochet with. The only difficulty may be to see the stitches but I am using markers to help me keep the count. Also the great point is that you can make a mistake and you will not see it.

Extremely soft, wonderful to work with, surprisingly forgiving yarn. I loved working with this to make a baby blanket. My one note is that I actually used more yarn than the pattern called for, so I think this yarn should be worked tighter than usual but other than that I had no problems and no complaints. I absolutely love working with velvet yarns and would work with this again in a heartbeat.

I think this is my favorite so far. The yarn is super soft yet surprisingly durable. It keeps your head warm but still allows air to penetrate so you never get that sweaty, stuffy feeling. I cant say enough about how amazing this yarn is. Obviously the green is my favorite color but all the yarns of this brand are of an amazingly high quality for the price.
