Starlight Christmas is a lovely, bulky wool mix twined with reflective thread. The reflective thread adds a subtle mixed look to the yarn and will reflect strong sources of light in the dark (e.g. headlights of a car or flash from the camera). Perfect for those dark Winter months during which it is crucial to be seen in the traffic.
Starlight Christmas is easy to work with and works up fast when you knit hats, scarves, or gloves with knitting needles size 8 (EU size 5). The wool is super-wash treated so you can easily machine wash it at 104℉ (40°C). Just remember to use wool care detergent and avoid fabric softener.
Please be aware that Starlight yarns are not safety-approved for use in traffic. Even if you decided to knit yourself coveralls out of the yarn, it will only be supplementary - Starlight will never be able to replace a reflector or a high visibility reflective vest. So take care of yourself in traffic and ensure visibility with CE-approved reflective materials.

I’ve just finished up loom knitting a toque with the lilac and grey. I really love this yarn, and I hope it’s not being discontinued! I used up most of each skein. The grey was a bit scratchy, but the lilac was very smooth to work with. I didn’t have too much trouble with the yarn splitting, when it did split, it was after I had to frog and reknit, and I did notice that it was mainly the grey. The finished hat is lovely and my daughter has said that it doesn’t feel scratchy on her at all. The reflective aspect is brilliant, I’m very pleased and trying to patiently wait for my order of the red and hot pink to arrive!

I'm used to softer acrylics and am only just venturing into other yarns, so I thought this might be a little softer. It's not very rough, but was more than I'd expected. Overall I really loved this yarn! The reflective part is so cool and I was looking all over online to find something like it. I wanted to make an infinity scarf with it that I can wear when I bicycle for extra reflection. The first version I made ended up too long/ narrow, so I frogged it. I was glad that the yarn held up to being undone and then redone so well. I might try the acrylic version of this next.

I found the starlight yarn to be very easy to handle. I had concerns that the reflectiveness would make it difficult to handle. I prefer mittens to gloves, so the yarn and the knitting pattern were perfect partners. I ordered another set of yarn to make my daughter a scarf and hat, but now she thinks she might want mittens also. I will be ordering from your site and recommending it to others. Service was amazingly fast for being shipped to the USA. I am a new fan on all levels.

I made my daughter a dark blue toque, The color and reflection is good, the light does have to hit it in the right way, I do like the thickness of the yarn.
Hobbi Is a wonderful company to deal with, the yarn was a little late getting here, but I appreciate the communication and customer service I received. I had emails to let me know it was on its way. I also love the free patterns and the selection of them, I will definitely continue to do business with you

Lovely, just worked this up into a hat.
Is not scratchy and nice to work with.
Does split a little.
Biggest annoyance is the low yardage (but I knew that going into the purchase.
Took approximately 1.5 skeins to make a hat.
But is a great yarn, and I love the reflective strands.
When I saw the promotion pictures I thought they had edited the shine in, but no this happens in my pictures too (with flash on)
