We have worked extra hard to be able to offer you this gorgeous cake yarn, especially for Black Friday.
The texture of this yarn is 4 thin cotton threads which make it perfect for shawls, afghans, and scarves, where the long color changes will come out perfectly. Of course, you can also use the yarn for smaller projects; the gradual color shift, however, does look better with larger projects. You’ll get a whole 200 g pr. Skein which has a running length of 800 m.
We have received several beautiful shades for you, which we hope you’ll appreciate and get started with knitting or crocheting some lovely colorful projects.
Pro tip: Before you start working with Cotton Cake, run all 4 treads through a small bead to help the threads stay together throughout the project.
NB: We have only received limited stock, so it’s only available while stocks last.

I wasn't sure about this at first. The yarn was very stiff, and it's not twisted like like others I've used, it's more four threads laying next to each other. It did soften up after some exposure to humidity, so I expect it just dried up a little during shipping (standard outback problem). The colours are amazing, and the cake held its structure much better than others I've used. It eventually collapsed in on itself as I got to the second to last colour, but so far I've only had one knot form that I couldn't easily undo. Can you tell I'm quite new to the cake yarn? The colours are lovely, and it's working up very nicely. I wish I'd ordered more of this colour, which sold out quite quickly, but I'm looking forward to using the others I have.

I was reluctant to purchase this yarn, but got it given by a friend. I'm not a big fan of cakes as you can't control when the color changes and you never know if you have enough of it....
Anyway, I got the pink/purple one and it really nice to work with. It flows smoothly and the hing with the bead was really good. I didn't bother to fiddle with the connecting knots and you can't notice them in the completed garmet. to be on the save side, I started with a pink in rainbow cotton 8/4 for the start and kept a purple from the same material ready should the garment end up too short. I made a top knitting top down. It feels great on the skin and nice to wear.

I am so sad that these are limited edition yarns! I really enjoyed working with this yarn. It made for a very lovely flowy garment, with bright and consistent colors, with the added bonus of being very soft. I'm thankful that I bought a lot of this yarn (I bought four cakes in the 03 colorway and have only used maybe half a cake so far).
My only issue with it is that the yarn fibers aren't twisted, so if you crochet with this yarn, you need to be a little careful with your hook so you don't split the strand and have a bunch of inconsistent stitches. I haven't knitted with this yarn yet, but I'm sure aching to!

This yarn is fantastic. The color is have is #5. The outside starts in this bright teal green and ends in purple at the middle. I'm making a shirt in the style of the my precious cardigan using this yarn, and it looks really cool. I'll submit a picture here as well so you can see it. At first I thought this yarn would be tough, but it isn't at all. That was just how it was wrapped within the cake. Yes, it is 4 strands of yarn not woven together, but it hasn't been hard to work with.

I really like this yarn and wish there were more available! I’m currently making a throw for my cousin. It’s basically 4 cotton threads that alternate colors throughout the skein. I’ve never worked with fine yarn before so initially, I had a hard time with it. But after I decided to use two rolls and combine them to make a thicker yarn, I’m LOVING the way the throw is coming out. And because I’m using two skeins, the color change is even more blended. It looks great.
