Soft Bamboo Fine is a fantastically soft and unique quality! Bamboo is the fastest-growing plant in the world, making it an incredible material for sustainable production. It also produces more oxygen than any other plant and grows well without pesticides.

The thread consists of 70% bamboo, which makes the yarn the softest you have ever experienced and gives it a special lightweight feel. It is pleasant on the skin and is therefore also a very child-friendly yarn, which has great dimensional stability. The bamboo’s fibers are naturally silky soft and smooth – which makes the thread incredibly delicate. The texture and silk-like properties give knitted projects a beautiful fall. The 23% cotton and 7% acrylic help to hold the soft bamboo fibers together and give the yarn a good shape retention.

The yarn applies to all types of knitting and crocheting, but especially for baby things, wraps, blankets, and shawls. The AZO certificate validates that the yarn has undergone a regime of tests and has been approved according to applicable European legislation.

Soft Bamboo comes in two thicknesses – “fine” and “double”. Soft Bamboo Fine consists of 6 x 2 fine threads and runs 180 meters (197 yds) on 50g (1.75 oz) – recommended needles 2.5 – 3.5 mm. Soft Bamboo Double consists of 9 x 2 fine threads and runs 115 (126 yds) meters on 50g (1.75 oz) – and we recommend needles 3.0 - 4.0 mm.

In other words, if you want to make a slightly ‘lighter’ knit or crocheted project, then we recommend using “fine”. However, if you wish to make a sweater that is good all year round, then we recommend using “double”.

You may experience that the strand is more loosely spun in some areas, which is a natural and unique characteristic of this charming yarn. The high bamboo contents can make the winding process a little extra challenging, and it is natural to find some felting or knots in the strand. Loosely spun yarns demand extra patience and tolerance - but the results are stunning.

Are you allergic to wool? Or would you like a light super comfortable pair of socks for summer? This yarn is simply beautiful! With its silky shimmer it is just so soft against your skin. You have to gauge down to a finer needle for best results and you will not be disappointed. If you like knitting fine lace patterns, this is the finest. The pastell colours are well suited for lace garments, and it perfect for summer wear or really sensitive skin. This yarn also makes lovely festive gloves for all occasions and beautiful baby clothes for summer. A little knitting experience with fine yarn is probably an advantage when attempting lace work for the first time, but you grow with your tasks. You will not be disappointed how this viscose/cotton blend knits up. As an added bonus, the yardage is generous in these innocently small looking yarn balls, which keep on giving. 👌🏻I❤️🐼

You can never go wrong with Bamboo and this yarn does not disappoint. I got the black to add as a border to a shawl and it worked up beautifully. It is very soft and shiny. When using the black, I recommend adding a few drops of vinegar to the water when blocking, as I experienced is a lot of excess dye in the bllack yarn. Even my fingers were back after crocheting with it. But, it was not a big problem.

I'm loving this yarn so much. Its very comfortable to wear and the colours look very sophisticated because of the shine. The only issue I have is that it splits very often so if you really hate your yarn splitting, maybe try the heavier weight yarn of this product. I don't mind the splitting so I can still work with it.

I adore this yarn! LIghtweight and thin but super soft and comes in beautiful colors!! Makes better quality shawls than acrylic, better for the environment, and better for those allergic to natural wool or alpaca fibers. Definitely recommend this yarn!!!

Although it's a lot smaller than I was anticipating (my fault) I'm giving this yarns 5 star review because of how top quality it really is! It shimmers & shines & glides across your hook or needles like a breeze!
I'll always return to Hobbii
