I love Happy Place. Re: splitting - I’m wondering if those having problems are pulling from the center. These donuts seem to work best when used from the outside. The only one I’m having a problem with is Blueberry Melange which I caked up and am using the cake from the outside (so the yarn that was on the inside of the donut. The yarn is so unbelievably soft and not fuzzy at all. I haven’t washed it yet but I have steam blocked it which makes the fibers plump perfectly and fill the gaps in the stitches (I’m using C2C) and drapes wonderfully. I think I’m an acrylic convert. My one word of advice to Hobbii is to change the labels. I keep all my labels with my yarn and the only way to do that with these is to roll them up and put them inside the donuts. I also received many with the labels already ripped because of the design. Otherwise, perfect yarn for blankets and garments. Thanks, Toni and Hobbii!

Just got my yarn! It is so incredibly soft and squishy. The wool/cotton combo is 😍 It is flexible, drapes beautifully and to crochet it is literally a dream. It is smooth on the hook (clover Armour) and I haven’t come across any splitting whatsoever. The only thing I have noticed so far that I didn’t *love* is that the yarn color I have used, 01 Almond, hasn’t been 100% consistent in thickness. It’s plush and even and then will go down to a thinner almost sock weight size and then back up again, if that makes sense. It could just be this skein and this color, but not sure. Otherwise, it is perfection and I can’t wait to order more yarn. This will now be my go-to for garments! Buy this yarn people, it is incredible!!

I recently received my Happy Place yarn. It is so soft and squishy! I’m not ready to start that project but did a sample swatch. Oh my it is lovely to work with! I had a hard time picking colors (they’re all gorgeous) but did get some of both the solid and melange. I always shied away from wool or wool blend yarn in the past. I am so happy I decided to give it a try! Although the price point us a bit higher than I normally spend it is definitely worth it (for me). Happy crocheting with Happy Place yarn in my Happy Place! Thank you Hobbii and Toni for this beautiful yarn!

I've been crocheting for years, but I was always scared to branch out to better/more expensive yarns and stuck primarily to worsted weight or thicker. This yarn is so soft and has some warmth. I got the almond color, and it seems like it could qualify as a solid. It's a soft cream color. It works up beautifully and easily. I think it would look great for cables. I'm using it for the Hobbii winter shells poncho pattern because the yarn for that patterned was discontinued. I'm on my third ball, and I haven't found any knots. Definitely would consider it for future projects.

Not only is the fiber itself incredible, being soft yet with a bit of structure, but the melange colors are to dye for! The mix of a consistent white with a gorgeous array of colors creates a palette with endless possibilities. My first project with Happy Place yarn is a beanie, and using a melange in place of a solid in a single color project elevates it and brings an amazing dimensionality to what would otherwise be a very simple and ordinary make. I see myself returning for more of this yarn over and over again!
