I had a small bit of trouble working into the holes of the base, but I'm fairly certain that's all user error since I've never worked with materials like this before! The wood is nice and smooth, and I'm excited to finish making a little basket that I don't have to worry about the bottom being flimsy!

I have made so many of these baskets and love all of them! I like to pair them with ribbon yarn because it gives the baskets good structure. I use a 5 mm hook in the first round to attach the stitches to the basket, then move up to a 10 mm hook for the rest of the basket. Cannot recommend enough!

I got this basket bottom ages ago but forgot to use it until last week. I made a little fruit basket using the cotton ribbon yarn. The holes in the floor where a little tight for the use of Ribbon yarn and it was hard to start. But having a solid floor gave the basket a bit more stability.
Next time round, I will use 8/8 cotton for the first round using the holes and then build on the 8/8 cotton with ribbon.
