Sultan Solid, the solid version of our beloved Sultan, is finally here. Much like its predecessor, Sultan Solid is made of 100% cotton and characterized by 4 threads that are not twinned together.

You can now pair Sultan Solid with Sultan in the same projects and use it for edges, sleeves, and accents, or simply when you have run out of one of the colors. Feel free to also enjoy Sultan Solid’s beautiful color palette on its own for more subtle creations. This yarn will express its full potential worked into airy shawls, scarves, garments such as shrugs, dresses, and tops, as well as delicate blankets. Moreover, the generous length will guarantee you that you will need to join the least amount of cakes as possible.

Sultan Solid is here to rear your creative possibilities up to the max.

Pro tip: Before you start working on the Sultan Solid cake, run all 4 treads through a small bead to help the threads stay together throughout the project. If you like to start working with the cake from the center, make sure to put something in the middle so that the cake does not collapse on itself.

Note that we have done our utmost to match Sultan Solid and Sultan. Still, there might be very slight differences. Even though Sultan Solid comes in solid colors, knots might still occur due to the nature of the fibers it is made out of.

Alexandra

I bought two cakes of color 15 (light blue) to make a jacket for myself. The monitor made it seem like a pale, Alice in Wonderland-esque blue but in person it is a little more glacier. Not a deal breaker for me, but just something to keep in mind! The yarn itself is wonderfully soft, though for some reason both of my cakes did not come with the 'Easy Start' sticker in the center to make things easier. I was able to find them with no issue and chalked it up to a goof at the production facility, but do be careful!

Sophie

Just got my first order today and I am very happy I was wrong. I hate any yarn that comes without being twisted together as I always struggle with it. I was waiting for these to arrive to start the curtains I am doing to match the blanket and cushion done with Sultan deluxe Andamooka Opal. They are not the exact same colors but close enough to match. Well, it not as hard to work as I was expecting and I love the texture. The colors are exactly the same as shown. First purchase of many for me

Syd

I purchased two colors, 13 and 22, which look great together. Colors are as pictured and the cotton feels nice but I didn't really expect the untwisted strands. It was honestly better than I thought it would be after I got through 5 or so rows. I'm crocheting with a 4mm tunisian hook and it makes a beautiful fabric. I also haven't encountered any knots or breaks in any strands, so maybe there was a quality control issue in the past. I'll probably get more of this yarn for future projects.

Gracie

I am absolutely loving that Hobbii offers a solid option in this specific yarn! I needed some solid black to finish the boarder of my Granny Square Cardigan and this was the best/only option. It is ever so slightly lighter black than the Azaela Aurore colorway that I got but you cant really tell and its expected to have slightly different shades between lot dyes.

Kris

The black seems to be extra stretchy and soft compared to the other colors I have encountered in their mixed cakes, but that's easily accounted for by changing a hook size. I wish these came in all the colors that Sultan has in their mixed cakes. It would be so much fun to mix and match myself!
