Soft and delicious 4-thread acrylic yarn, which is balled up in a so-called pull skein. You can easily use the innermost thread and use the skein from within. Many of us will benefit from the skein not rolling away underneath the sofa while knitting/crocheting. Or in the bag for that matter!

Malaga is found in a wide range of colors and the fine acrylic has a wonderful lightness. If you don’t tolerate wool, here you have a wonderful and warm alternative. It is easy to deal with, both on the needles and as a finished product as it can be machine washed.

Malaga is a very versatile yarn that can be used for loads of projects from clothing and accessories to interior items like blankets, pillows etc.

Malaga is a premium acrylic, so it has been spun from a very high quality. This means that the yarn is processed in several steps, which may well be reminiscent of the processing of wool. Among these steps, the acrylic is combed, making it fuller and even softer. In addition, Malaga has undergone a Hi-Bulk process where the yarn is steamed during production causing a little contraction, resulting in a more comfortable, soft fullness.

If you need single skeins, you can find the link to purchase Malaga individually at the top of the page along with Malaga Print!

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification at https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

I have stared at this yarn and debated adding it to my cart many times, and I can now say that the yarn is wonderful and definitely what I wanted! I really wish there were more yards per skein, but as I work it with a 7 or 8 mm hook I guess it does fit more onto the bulky than worsted weight classification and then the amount of yards per skein makes sense. I also love that there are sets of colors to choose from, they go together so well in person! The amount of pastel colors is what really drew me in. I'm working a filet crochet lapgan in the pastel lime and a granny style baby blanket in the pastel color set. Both are coming along so nicely and I have yet to have any issues with any skein I use.

I love this yarn! I wasn’t so sure because I’m not a huge fan of thinner yarn. When a description says light weight I think of a 3 light weight that is really too thin for my hands. I’m getting a little arthritis so it helps to use thicker yarn. I was happily surprised when it got here and the colors were superb and the weight of the yarn was perfect. I’d say a on the thicker side Of an Aran. This yarn is easy to use and I.have started making a smaller blanket for my lap. No splitting so far!! I recommend!

For a long time, I debated whether or not to order this yarn as my experience with Acrylic has been unsatisfactory. However, I took a risk.

I'm happy to report: I love how soft this yarn is! Totally opposite to what I had expected of Acrylic up until the point I was holding this yarn.

However, I was a little put out with the actual size. But then again, it's difficult to make an accurate assessment of size from a photo. On the other hand, the colours are as photographed.

Recommended.

The yarn is soft and easy to work with but make sure you order extra, at least for me, because it’s not going quite as far as I thought it would. Then again? I’m a beginner. I saw someone compare this to red heart super saver, I have not really used that yarn in years, but my memories of it are that it’s super scratchy and inconsistent. This yarn was all very soft and also consistent.

I knit baby blankets for donation and family. The Malaga pack I am using is just gorgeous. Bought it a while ago...well, bought a LOT of Hobbi a while ago...a I love it. Knitting up smooth and soft and consistent with 6-stitch wide/long cables and lots of seed stitch in between. I hope the toddler who gets this through Project Linus here in the US will love and cherish!
