Do you ever feel like you need the perfect wool yarn but find that the color choices are far too limited? We have your back with Friends Wool.
Like any other 100% wool yarn, Friends Wool is elastic, strong, warm, and breathable. It is made out of 4 threads spun together and can be worked with either 4-4.5 mm (US 6-7) knitting needles or a 5-5.5 mm (US H-8 or I-9) crochet hook.
We developed this yarn having in mind that part of the fun when crafting comes from mixing and matching all the different colors. Therefore, we are pretty confident that you will find the perfect ones for your next handmade project. This yarn is the ideal yarn for stranded knitting. Feel free to use this wool for afghans, sweaters, ponchos, cowls, beanies, etc. Friends Wool can also be felted, so you can finally start experimenting with felting baskets, bags, and slippers with this yarn.
Are you ready to embark on your next colorful creation?
The yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/
About the Friends family
The colors of the yarns included in the Friends family are literally friends!
This means the color numbers correspond to the same color across the different Friends yarns. If you order the same color number from two different Friends yarns, they will match. Please note that there can be slight differences in the shades from fiber to fiber.
Have fun combining and matching them in all your projects.

I bought several colours to make some basic hats as Christmas presents and the colours were exactly as pictured in the web photo. I made two hats: grey and mustard and black and pumpkin. Both knit up beautifully and the recipients loved them. This is going to be my new basic wool that I purchase, there are many colours and the price is great!
This is definitely a rougher wool, its not coarse by any means, but it isn't going to be super soft like cashmere or even a superwash. It's sturdy and would probably felt wonderfully. That will be my next test: to knit a pair of large socks to felt into slippers.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Such a versatile yarn! This is my first time working with wool because it can be quite scratchy if you don't get a high quality yarn but this intrigued me during a sale and it was perfect for a new pattern I got. I love how it turned out! It's just a little stretchy and SO warm! It's actually really soft and super easy to work with. I would 100% recommend this year to anyone looking for a lighter weight wool yarn!

Sweater Quantities. I purchased sweater quantities of this for myself, my husband, and my daughter. I swatched the brown yarn for my husband's sweater. Per my usual, had to go down needle sizes to get gauge, 5 sts and 7 rows on US 5. Purchased on sale, so a mens 46 is only costing $35. Can't beat that with a stick! Great yarn for the money. Only into the first of 14 balls, so I cannot report on knots or frays.

This wools was exactly what I needed. I appreciate all the details shared about this wool because it made my decision to purchase so easy. The price is unmatched especially for the quality wool. I love that this wool has friends and matches with them nicely. I purchased off white for a program I’m in and bought 5 skeins for a great price. Thank you, Hobbii!!

This yarn is absolutely perfect for any smallish crochet project. Using a G6 (4 mm) crochet hook, I have already made two pairs of warm socks for the upcoming winter (nb: one skein per sock that goes to mid-calf length). The finished product comes washes beautifully (cold water, delicate conditions). I will certainly be ordering more.
