This pattern is knitted using straight knitting needles and seamed, using mattress stitch. The Christmas dress is knitted from the top down. The sleeve sts are placed on stitch holders and knitted after completing the dress bodice and skirt. The dress and boots trim is knitted separately and sewn on. The Elf hat is knitted from the white hat band to the tip. The boots are knitted in one piece.
