Increasing means adding more stitches to your pattern, and the process is very simple. All you have to do is crochet two new stitches in the same stitch.

NB!: Please note that this tutorial uses US terms. The same technique goes by the term ‘Double Crochet’ (dc) in UK terms.

How to do a single crochet increase

  1. Crochet one single crochet in the next stitch from your hook.
  2. Do another single crochet in the same stitch as before.
