There are a lot of cotton yarns out there, but it’s hard to find something as exquisite as our Baby Cotton Organic. Here’s a beautiful version with the prettiest, delicate pastel colors.

The yarn is made from 100% organic Egyptian cotton of the highest quality, and you feel it immediately. Egyptian cotton is one of the most exclusive types of cotton. This type of cotton has extra long fibers, which grants it extra durability and makes it incomparably soft.

All versions of the Baby Cotton Organic line are organic, vegan, and GOTS certified, which, among other things, means that the yarn is produced with respect for people and the environment, without the use of chemical pesticides, inorganic fertilizer, etc. In addition, the cotton is gently plucked by hand, which ensures that the fibers keep their fullness and softness.

The high quality and the GOTS certification (ICEA-TX-273) aren’t the only reasons to love Baby Cotton Print. The yarn comes in the prettiest print made with pastel colors, which have been carefully chosen to give it a pretty play of colors. The colors have been created with Baby Cotton Organic’s colors as their foundation, to let you combine print with its solid color version.

About GOTS:

GOTS certification is an internationally acknowledged standard used to ensure an environmentally and socially responsible production of organic textiles. It ensures high standards at every step, from the harvesting of the raw materials to the finished product on your needles. You can read more about the GOTS certifications here: https://www.global-standard.org/

I bought four skeins in Color 11 (purple/pastel purple/light purple) to make a cardigan for myself. Shipping only took six days from ordering (even included a little piece of candy which was nice)! The yarn itself is wonderfully soft, nice cool tones and easy to work with. I'm just bummed that this is being discontinued as I type this review out. If you get the chance to do so, snap up a skein of this yarn before it's gone forever!

This is one of my favorite yarns, it is so soft but feels strong, the color is pretty (I used the thistle/light lilac/lilac and its a lovely color transition), and I love that it is organic! Overall it is a great quality of yarn. For my project, I used a 2.5 mm hook and made a solid piece. (I'd love more organic or eco yarns options :)

Amy

This is incredibly soft yarn. I'm so glad it's organic and Egyptian. Longer fibers make for more durable items. It took me a while to start my project with this yarn, because I couldn't stop squishing it!! I got this yarn in color #6, which is the blue mix of colors. Dare I say that there is a shine to this yarn. Very cool.

I loved working with this yarn. It crocheted up very nicely and I have a soft and flowing kerchief for my head. It's not too hot and keeps my head just the right amount of warm. The yarn is bit more slippery than I expected but not so much to make me stop. I am excited to try this on my loom soon.

It's the organic cotton I love, but the color transitions really are beautiful. I love mixing the prints with the solid colors in different shawl patterns on the hobbii design page. It's a superior yarn to substitute for 8/4 cotton patterns.
